The available sources provide official descriptions and specifications, not a hands-on evaluation of its sound or wearing experience.
What the Escale Minute Repeater does
Louis Vuitton names three functions: a minute repeater, jumping hours and retrograde minutes. Together, they make this more than a conventional time-only Escale: the hour is shown in a jumping display, while the minutes use a retrograde layout. The brand’s product page describes the watch as having a “retrograde minute display.”
How the repeater is activated
The repeater is activated by a sliding piece on the lug at 8 o’clock, according to Louis Vuitton. The page identifies the control’s location but does not provide a measured sound profile or an independent account of how the watch operates in use. Gérald Genta’s name appears in the brand’s movement-development attribution; the cited material does not specify his individual role.
Movement specifications
Louis Vuitton identifies the movement as the LFT SO13.01, a manual-winding mechanical calibre developed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton and Gérald Genta. Its listed specifications are manufacturer figures rather than independently verified performance results.

Case, dial and strap
The case is listed as 750/1000 rose gold, with a 40 mm diameter and a 12.3 mm thickness including the glass. Louis Vuitton specifies a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, an open caseback and 30 m water resistance. The strap is beige calf leather and fastens with a 750/1000 rose-gold folding buckle.
