What is the difference between the RECON NAV SPEC and Point Man?

Choose the NAV SPEC for time-zone tracking and map tools
The NAV SPEC’s Ronda 515.24H movement provides a second time zone shown on a 24-hour scale, alongside the date. Luminox’s manual says to pull the crown to its first stop and turn it until the indicator shows the desired time on that scale. The strap carries map scales, and the cited U.S. model’s product page describes a detachable compass.

The manual identifies strap scales for 1:100,000, 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 maps, plus inch and centimetre measurement. These are measuring aids for use with a map, not a substitute for navigation training or a standalone navigation system. The manual also warns that alternate magnetic fields can affect the basic compass.
Choose the Point Man for an approximate walking-pace estimate
The Point Man’s dial and inner bezel carry cardinal points and kilometre/mile markers, including a walking-speed tachymeter scale. The manual describes the estimate as based on timing a 50 m / 164 ft distance after measuring your personal step count. It cautions that fitness, terrain, weather and other factors can substantially affect walking speed, so the scale should not be treated as a precise measurement.

Are they equally wearable?
The cited NAV SPEC is 1 mm larger in diameter, 0.5 mm thicker and 29 g heavier than the cited Point Man set, according to Luminox’s listed specifications. That comparison does not establish how either watch will feel on a particular wrist: case shape, strap fit and personal preference matter, and these sources do not provide wear testing. If size is a concern, compare the dimensions with a watch you already wear or try the exact model on before buying.

Model numbers and included accessories can differ by market. Luminox Europe lists NAV SPEC variants XL.8837.SET and XL.8833, with prices in euros; its page describes the SET edition as including an additional military-green webbing strap. Those are not automatically identical to U.S. model XL.8837.2. Confirm the exact SKU, strap and compass inclusion on the product page for your region before purchase.
