Marloe is an Oxfordshire-based British brand selling mechanical watches, mostly in the entry-to-mid price bracket, with a two-year warranty and an official pre-owned marketplace. Those are the facts the brand’s own pages support. What nobody has established in the material available is how accurate the watches are, how they hold up over years, or whether owners are broadly satisfied. This review separates what Marloe says, what a third party corroborates, and what you would need to judge for yourself.
What Marloe is and how it tells its story
Marloe’s About page says the company began in 2015, when co-founder Oliver tried to replace a dead battery in a branded watch. He then teamed up with industrial designer Gordon to build an accessible mechanical watch. Marloe says the first mechanical Marloe watch sold within 12 months.
These are company-reported claims, not independently audited history. Treat the origin story as brand narrative.
Where the watches are made, according to Marloe
Marloe states that every watch is assembled in-house and describes production in batches of up to 1,000 pieces, each with a unique serial number. Its wording: “Every Marloe watch is proudly assembled in-house, allowing us to maintain complete control over quality and detail at every stage.” The homepage places that assembly with its team in Oxfordshire.
#1 Best Overall
- 🌊【Deep Current】The navy dial mirrors the quiet strength of deep waters — timeless, enigmatic, and serene. With its silver bracelet, it reflects light like moonlight on waves. Designed to accompany moments of stillness, motion, and everything in between.
- 【Brilliant Lab-Grown Diamonds】31 mm case set with 0.132 ct total diamonds, 36 mm case with 0.154 ct, all D–F color and VVS–VS clarity. Keep your watch looking brilliant with 0% carbon emissions.
- 【Swiss Ronda 763 Quartz Movement】Premium Swiss three-hand quartz movement delivers precise, dependable timekeeping for everyday wear.
- 【Sapphire Crystal】Scratch-resistant sapphire glass protects the dial and preserves a crystal-clear view for lasting brilliance.
- 【Find Your Perfect Fit】 For the ideal balance of presence and comfort, we suggest the 31mm case if your wrist measures between 5.5"–6.3" (14–16 cm) — it offers a refined, elegant silhouette. If your wrist falls in the 6.3"–7.5" (16–19 cm) range, the 36mm case delivers a more substantial yet classic look. Both versions feature a sleek folding clasp with a push‑button release, and we include a precision screwdriver so you can resize the bracelet at home with ease.
IndependentWatchmaking.com also describes Marloe’s current watches as hand-assembled at the Oxfordshire headquarters. That gives outside support for the assembly location. It does not verify Marloe’s claims about quality control, and “assembled” is not the same as “manufactured”: the model page we checked lists a Sellita movement, a Swiss-made calibre that Marloe buys in rather than makes.
The range and current prices
The homepage features two families, SkySplitter and Aerodyne. At the time of checking, SkySplitter examples were listed at £599 and Aerodyne examples started from £349. Prices, stock and editions change, so confirm on the live product page before you decide.

A specification example: Pacific Watchmaker Edition
Marloe’s page for the Pacific Watchmaker Edition shows what the brand publishes per model. These are maker-stated figures for this watch only and should not be applied to the rest of the range.
| Specification | Marloe’s stated value |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 40 mm |
| Case depth | 12 mm |
| Lug width | 20 mm |
| Crystal | Sapphire box crystal with anti-reflective coating |
| Water resistance | 10 ATM (100 m) |
| Movement | Manual-wind Sellita SW216-1 |
| Power reserve | 46+ hours |
| Warranty | Two years |
A listing like this tells you the watch’s size, build and movement. It does not tell you how accurate a given example runs or how it ages. A 100 m rating on paper is also not a recommendation for diving or any specific activity.
Rank #3
- Chronograph with Tachymeter - Track elapsed time and determine average speed thanks to a chronograph function and tachymeter index.
- Stainless-steel - The durable stainless-steel case and bracelet are resistant to corrosion, rust, and daily wear and tear.
- Unique Dial Design - Tonal sub-dials bring an understated and sophisticated color contrast to the dial, which houses bold hour markers punctuated by brilliant red.
- Date Window - Easily track the date in a dedicated window between 4 and 5 o’clock.
The 20 mm lug width matters if you want to swap straps, but only for models that actually list 20 mm. Marloe sells straps in several widths, so check the lug width of your exact watch before buying one.
Warranty and returns
Warranty
Marloe’s terms give a two-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. It excludes damage from normal wear and everyday use. It is invalidated if the rear casing is removed or tampered with, so do not let a third-party watchmaker open the caseback during the warranty period. Claims go through Marloe’s repairs page.

Shipping and returns
The FAQ states worldwide shipping, with watch orders sent by DHL, and a 30-day money-back guarantee for products that are unused and returned in original packaging. The terms separately describe statutory cancellation rights and an exchange period. These are different mechanisms with different conditions, so it is not an unconditional return promise. Read the current policy for your country before ordering, particularly if you are outside the UK.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Marloe’s marketplace and trade-in
Marloe runs an official secondary market. It says listed watches have been serviced and reconditioned, come with a Certificate of Authenticity, and carry a new 12-month warranty. The homepage also offers a trade-in enquiry. Condition and availability vary by listing, and the 12-month cover is shorter than the two years on a new watch, so weigh that against the price difference.

How to compare a Marloe with other microbrand watches
Use the same checklist for every candidate so the comparison is fair:
- Price, and whether it is a new or marketplace watch
- Movement type and calibre (manual or automatic, and who makes it)
- Case diameter, thickness and lug width
- Crystal type and coating
- Water resistance rating
- Strap or bracelet supplied
- Warranty length and what voids it
- Return terms and who pays for return shipping
What the evidence does not show
A Reddit thread titled “Opinions about Marloe Watch Company” shows that readers ask the same question you are asking. Its comments are personal and anecdotal, so they cannot establish typical owner experience. No named industry statistic, market-share figure, satisfaction survey or timing test for Marloe turned up. The magazine blurbs on the homepage carry no named speaker and should be read as marketing.
So the following remain unproven: long-term reliability, measured accuracy, customer satisfaction and value relative to rivals at the same price. If these matter to you, look for recent owner reports on the specific model, and use the 30-day return window and two-year warranty as your safety net.
Who it suits
On paper, Marloe suits buyers who want a British-assembled watch with a standard Swiss movement, sapphire crystal and a clear warranty, and who are comfortable paying for a small brand’s design. It is less suited to anyone who needs independently verified performance figures before buying, because none are available here.
