The Maurice de Mauriac Rallymaster III is a 39 mm automatic watch made in a 100-piece edition with Racquet magazine and designer Carlton DeWoody. Maurice de Mauriac lists its original price as 2,200 CHF, but the official product page currently marks it sold out. That makes it a limited-edition model to assess by its design and specifications—and, if buying now, by the specific seller, condition and asking price.
What is the Rallymaster III?
It is the third tennis-themed collaboration between Swiss watchmaker Maurice de Mauriac and Racquet magazine. The brand credits designer Carlton DeWoody and says the dial takes inspiration from graphic watch designs of the 1960s and 1970s. In WatchPro’s August 5, 2024 launch coverage, DeWoody described his aim as: “I aimed to bridge past and present, reinterpreting classic design with a contemporary lens”.
The tennis references are integrated into the dial rather than limited to the name: the small-seconds display is marked in 20-second increments, which the brand connects to serve timing. A luminous lollipop seconds hand and a custom date wheel add further model-specific details. The sapphire caseback displays the collaboration logo.
Rallymaster III specifications

| Movement | Landeron 24 automatic; 25 jewels and 28,800 beats per hour, according to Maurice de Mauriac |
| Power reserve | 40 hours, reported by The Watch Pages; this figure is not established in the official product details cited here |
| Crystal | Anti-reflective sapphire with a date magnifier, according to the manufacturer |

| Edition | 100 pieces, according to Maurice de Mauriac |
| Original listed price | 2,200 CHF on the brand’s story page; this is not a current resale quote |
The 10 ATM and 100 m figures are numerically equivalent ratings, but neither should be treated as a blanket guarantee for every water activity. Check the manufacturer’s guidance and the warranty terms, particularly for a pre-owned watch whose seals may have aged or been replaced.

Price and availability
Maurice de Mauriac’s Rallymaster III product page currently labels the model “Sold Out” and provides a waiting-list option. Stock can change, so check the official Rallymaster III product page for its current status. The brand’s Rallymaster III story page lists 2,200 CHF as the price, but that is the original listed price—not evidence of a current offer or the watch’s present resale value.
No current secondary-market asking price is established here. If you find one for sale, compare the specific watch’s condition and included items rather than treating the original price as a resale benchmark.
What to check before buying one
Because the official page currently shows the model as sold out, a buyer may need to evaluate an individual listing. Confirm these points with the seller before paying:
- Whether the watch is new or pre-owned, and whether the seller can document its edition or serial number.
- Condition of the case, crystal, dial, hands and movement, along with service history and any known repair or water exposure.
- Whether the sale includes the original leather strap, the second textile-flex strap with quick-release fittings, and the custom tennis ball described on the product page. Contents can vary by listing.
- The seller’s identity, return policy, shipping costs, and any applicable taxes or import charges.
- The asking price in relation to condition, completeness and servicing needs; the 2,200 CHF brand listing is historical context, not a verified current market price.
Is the Rallymaster III worth buying?
It is most compelling for someone who wants a limited tennis collaboration with distinctive dial details and a Swiss automatic movement. The 39 mm steel case and 100-piece run give concrete points for evaluating the model, while the original 2,200 CHF list price offers context rather than a current-value verdict.

Whether a particular example is worth its asking price depends on its condition, documentation, included accessories and service needs. Before committing, verify the exact watch and seller; do not assume a listing includes the full original strap and box configuration.
