Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 and Gen 2 support live translation, but that does not mean they show translated words in your lens. In the official material reviewed, Meta Ray-Ban Display is the model that shows live-translation captions on an in-lens display. Its FAQ lists English, French, Italian, and Spanish, and says you must download selected languages in the Meta AI app the first time.
Which Ray-Ban Meta glasses translate live?
Ray-Ban’s regional overview lists live translation for Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 and Gen 2. Meta’s April 23, 2025 announcement described conversations across English, French, Italian, and Spanish. That announcement records the feature’s rollout at that time; it does not guarantee current availability in every country.
The key distinction is where translated speech appears. The sources establish live translation on audio-first Ray-Ban Meta glasses, while Ray-Ban’s Meta Ray-Ban Display product page specifically describes translated conversations shown as captions on its in-lens display.
