What is the Terracotta collection?
Terracotta is a footwear collection by London-based designer and CONCEPT(K) founder Mr. Bailey, developed with HLT+ and Vibram. Hypebeast describes the project as the result of a six-year exploration of craft, longevity and modular construction. The collection’s design is inspired by the fractured geometry of dried earth.
The launch report frames longevity and repairability as design aims, not as independently demonstrated results. It includes no durability testing or measured product lifespan.
How the replaceable sole is described
Hypebeast describes the sole as three layers, from the ground upward:

- Permanent structural outsole: the supporting part of the sole system intended to stay in place when the ground layer is replaced.
The report says every pair comes with an additional set of replacement Vibram ground components and access to sole repair services. It does not explain the replacement procedure, identify compatible third-party parts, or say whether replacement components are sold separately.
Hiker, Derby and Mule: what differs?

Hypebeast reports leather uppers across all three styles. Its launch coverage does not give fit guidance, weights or wear-test results, so it does not support a comfort or performance ranking.

What the launch report does not establish
Hypebeast’s report does not state a price, sizing range, sale date or retail channel, or geographic availability. It also does not establish independent durability results, a guaranteed product lifetime, or an environmental benefit. The publication’s deck calls the shoes “built to last for generations”; that is launch framing, not a measured lifespan or a direct quotation from Mr. Bailey.
