Seiko’s 2026 King Seiko VANAC releases comprise three titanium watches—HKF001, HKF002 and HKF003—and a separate stainless-steel limited edition, HKF004. All four use Seiko’s automatic Caliber 8L45 and share a 41.0 mm case diameter, 14.3 mm thickness and stated 72-hour power reserve. Seiko announced availability from July 2026; that timing does not confirm stock at any particular retailer.
What is new in the King Seiko VANAC line?
Seiko traces the VANAC series to 1972. For the 2026 releases, the company says it has carried the original series’ spirit into a modern mechanical watch with angular, bezel-less styling. The lineup covered by Seiko’s release announcements has two parts: three continuous-production titanium models and one 145th-anniversary limited edition in stainless steel.
The design uses a horizontal stripe pattern on the dial, an embedded index ring and a bracelet with mirror and hairline finishes. Seiko describes its design theme as the Tokyo horizon. The see-through case back is, according to Seiko, the first fitted to a King Seiko watch since the collection’s 2022 relaunch. Seiko’s U.S. King Seiko VANAC collection page shows the collection design and lineup.

HKF001–HKF003 have titanium cases and bracelets and a three-fold clasp with push-button release. HKF004 uses stainless steel and has a screw-down crown. Seiko calls Caliber 8L45 its “premier mechanical movement”; that is the company’s characterization, not an independent assessment. Specifications for the titanium watches are in Seiko’s March announcement; HKF004’s figures are in its May announcement.

Seiko says titanium is approximately 40% lighter than stainless steel. That makes the material the most significant practical distinction between the trio and HKF004, though the release materials do not give a weight in grams for any model. The titanium watches also differ from HKF004 in dial colors, clasp details and production status: the trio are continuous-production models, while HKF004 is limited to 800 pieces.

- Gold-tone bracelet watch with exhibition back featuring patterned dial and day/date window
- 37 mm stainless steel case with Hardlex dial window
- Automatic self-wind movement with analog display
- Gold-tone stainless steel bracelet with fold-over clasp
- Water resistant to 30 m (99 ft): In general, withstands splashes or brief immersion in water, but not suitable for swimming.
The design, movement and stated case dimensions remain broadly shared across the announced models, so the choice is primarily between the titanium trio’s lower-weight material and dial options, and HKF004’s stainless-steel construction, blue-accented dial and limited-edition status. Seiko’s titanium model page describes the titanium construction.
