What is the Mirrored Force Resonance Ruby?
It is a limited edition of Armin Strom’s Mirrored Force Resonance, built around two defining features: a natural ruby dial and a movement with two independent regulating systems connected by the brand’s patented Resonance Clutch. Armin Strom says it made five timepieces. The official announcement identifies the watch as reference ST23-RF.10.
The dial has an off-center layout, an azuré finish and white printed Roman numerals. Because ruby is a natural stone, its color and inclusions vary from one dial to another; the finished watches are not expected to have identical-looking stone surfaces. How does the resonance mechanism work?
The manual-winding Calibre ARF21 contains two independent regulating systems. Armin Strom connects them with its patented Resonance Clutch, which the manufacturer says synchronizes the systems and is intended to enhance chronometric stability. This describes the movement’s architecture and the brand’s stated aim, not a guarantee of accuracy: no independent performance test is established here.

The pairing is made visible through twin seconds indications. A pusher at 2 o’clock resets both seconds displays simultaneously, drawing attention to the two-regulator arrangement. The calibre runs at 3.5 Hz, or 25,200 vibrations per hour, and has a stated 48-hour power reserve.
Why is the dial ruby, and are the movement jewels ruby too?
The ruby dial is a decorative use of natural stone. Its inclusions and tonal variation are part of the material, so each dial can differ. Armin Strom’s 9 September 2026 article about the natural ruby dial distinguishes this visible stone from the synthetic, lab-grown ruby jewels used inside the movement.

Those synthetic jewels serve a conventional mechanical purpose: they reduce friction at points in the movement. They are not the same material treatment as the natural dial, and the dial itself is not described as improving timekeeping.

The case dimensions and water-resistance rating are from the manufacturer’s 2026 specifications. Fratello’s 3 March 2026 introduction reports the strap width and a launch price of CHF 85,000. How many were made, and what does it cost?
Armin Strom says the edition is limited to five pieces. Fratello reported CHF 85,000 as the launch price in March 2026, but current retail or resale pricing has not been verified. The five-piece production figure does not establish whether any watch remains available. Oster Jewelers lists a page for the model and identifies as an authorized Armin Strom retail partner, but its page does not establish current stock; see the retailer’s listing.

The Ruby combines a visually distinctive natural-stone dial with the Mirrored Force Resonance’s twin-regulator concept. The stone gives each example a potentially different surface, while the paired seconds displays and their shared reset provide a practical way to see the movement’s dual arrangement. Its five-piece limit makes it a rare release, but the published launch price and edition size alone do not confirm present-day availability or value.
