The title alone cannot identify one watch. Tom Brady has been reported wearing several high-value watches across NFL playoff and Super Bowl coverage, and the published prices range from $51,000 to about $740,000. For a playoff game, the two candidates are a rose-gold Rolex Oyster Land-Dweller, reported at $51,000 in Wild Card coverage, and a Patek Philippe Aquanaut, reported at about $650,000 in NFC Championship coverage. The most widely cited figure, $740,000, belongs to a Super Bowl LIX watch, not a playoff watch.
Why the title does not point to a single watch
The headline names a playoff game but not the game, the season, or the photograph. Brady’s wrist has been linked to different pieces in different broadcasts, and the coverage does not always state which appearance a given article is describing. Before you rely on any price, match three things: the game, the date of the photo or post, and the model name in the caption. If an article names only “a $700,000 watch” with no reference, treat the figure as unverified.
The candidate watches at a glance
| Watch (as named in coverage) | Game or broadcast | Reported figure and source | Gems or setting | Production rarity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rolex Oyster Land-Dweller, rose gold | 49ers vs. Eagles Wild Card Game (reported 2026) | $51,000, U.S. Magazine (2026) | Not stated | Not stated |
| Patek Philippe Aquanaut | Seahawks vs. Rams NFC Championship broadcast (reported 2026) | About $650,000 (estimate), Operation Sports (2026) | Not stated | Not stated |
| Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon | Super Bowl LIX broadcast (2025) | $740,000, attributed to a Jacob & Co. spokesperson by Fortune (2025); about $600,000, Sporting News (2025), based on social-media reporting | Diamonds and yellow sapphires; 424 gems, per Fortune (2025) | Production run of 18, per Fortune (2025) |
The Caviar Tourbillon is the only one of the three for which the sources give gem counts and a production figure. For the other two, the coverage does not state a setting or a production run, so a like-for-like comparison is not possible.
The three watches in detail
Rolex Oyster Land-Dweller in rose gold
U.S. Magazine’s coverage of the 49ers vs. Eagles Wild Card Game identifies a rose-gold Rolex Oyster Land-Dweller and reports a $51,000 figure. This is the lowest price among the candidates and the only one tied to a playoff game by name. It is still a reported figure, not a verified sale price, and the article does not say whether it represents a retail price or a current market value.

Patek Philippe Aquanaut
Operation Sports associates a Patek Philippe Aquanaut with Brady before the Seahawks vs. Rams NFC Championship broadcast and gives a price of about $650,000. The word “about” matters: the figure is an estimate by the outlet, not a quoted price from Patek Philippe or a dealer. This is a separate appearance from the Wild Card watch, so the two should not be merged into one “playoff watch.”
Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon (Super Bowl LIX)
The Caviar Tourbillon is the best-documented of the three, but it belongs to Super Bowl LIX rather than a playoff game. Fortune reports the watch as “insanely rare,” with 424 gems and a production run of 18, and attributes the $740,000 price to a Jacob & Co. spokesperson. The company’s chief executive, Benjamin Arabov, is quoted in the same coverage saying, “Tom Brady is the epitome of excellence, both on and off the field.” That is promotional context. It does not establish the price or link the watch to any playoff game.

Sporting News reports a different valuation for the same model, around $600,000, and says the identification came from social media. Neither source is a transaction record, so the gap between $600,000 and $740,000 cannot be resolved from the reporting. When you cite the figure, name the outlet and the basis for it.
Why the Caviar Tourbillon prices disagree
The two figures come from different kinds of evidence. The $740,000 figure is attributed to the brand’s own representative, reported by Fortune in 2025. The roughly $600,000 figure is a valuation that Sporting News traces to social-media reporting, also in 2025. Neither is a completed auction result or a documented retail invoice, so readers should treat the range as an unresolved spread rather than a confirmed price band.

What these prices do and do not tell you
The articles mix several kinds of numbers under the word “price.” Keep them apart:
- Reported retail or brand-attributed price: a figure given by the brand or its representative. The Caviar Tourbillon’s $740,000 is in this category, as reported by Fortune.
- Media estimate: an outlet’s own approximation, such as the “about $650,000” for the Patek Aquanaut in Operation Sports.
- Social-media-derived valuation: a number traced to posts or comments, such as the roughly $600,000 Sporting News attributes to social media.
- Secondary-market asking price or completed auction sale: none of the candidate figures in the reporting is identified as either.
No named statistical study of luxury watch prices supports these numbers. They describe individual models as reported in individual articles, and they should not be read as a market index or as current values.

How to confirm which watch a photo or post shows
- Establish the game and date. Compare the date of the photo or post with the Wild Card, NFC Championship, or Super Bowl LIX broadcast. The Caviar Tourbillon is tied to Super Bowl LIX; the Land-Dweller and Aquanaut are tied to playoff games.
- Read the original caption or the outlet’s text for the model name and reference. A brand name alone (for example, “a Rolex”) is not enough to identify a model.
- Compare the case, bezel, and dial against the manufacturer’s official product page for the named model, not against a reseller listing.
- Check the source of any price. If it is a brand statement, a media estimate, or a social-media valuation, carry that label into your own writing.
- Do not assume a production figure is independently verified. The 18-piece run for the Caviar Tourbillon is reported by Fortune; it has not been confirmed by a public registry.
What is not established
No verified sale price, current market value, or availability for any of these three watches is established by the published coverage. The sources also do not confirm which of the candidate watches appeared in the specific playoff photo that prompted the headline. If the image or post is available, match it to the game and caption using the steps above before treating any single figure as the answer.
