The OMEGA 1957 Trilogy refers to three separate 60th-anniversary limited editions released in 2017: the Railmaster, Seamaster 300 and Speedmaster ’57. Each individual watch was limited to 3,557 pieces; the complete boxed three-watch set was a separate edition limited to 557 sets. The distinction matters when checking references or evaluating a listing.
What the OMEGA 1957 Trilogy commemorates
In 1957, OMEGA introduced three watches aimed at professional settings: the Speedmaster for racing drivers, the Seamaster 300 for ocean divers and the Railmaster for railway staff. OMEGA describes those original roles in its 2025 Railmaster history. The 2017 releases revisit that trio for its 60th anniversary, drawing on the original designs rather than treating the three watches as one combined model.
Individual watches and references
Use the full reference number when identifying an individual 1957 Trilogy watch. The complete-set versions have different endings, so a listing that says “Trilogy” alone may not make clear whether it refers to one watch or a set.
| 2017 individual edition | Individual reference | Case size | Set-version reference | Edition quantity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Railmaster | 220.10.38.20.01.002 | 38 mm | 220.10.38.20.01.003 | 3,557 individual pieces |
| Seamaster 300 | 234.10.39.20.01.001 | 39 mm | 234.10.39.20.01.002 | 3,557 individual pieces |
| Speedmaster ’57 | 311.10.39.30.01.001 | 38.6 mm | 311.10.39.30.01.002 | 3,557 individual pieces |
OMEGA’s catalog identifies the individual editions as limited to 3,557 pieces per model and the boxed trio as limited to 557 sets. Those numbers describe different releases: 557 is not the production limit for each individual watch. The individual specifications and quantities appear on OMEGA’s Railmaster, Seamaster 300 and Speedmaster ’57 pages. OMEGA also lists the set references through its Hong Kong product catalog.

What each 1957 Trilogy watch takes from its ancestor
1957 Trilogy Railmaster: antimagnetic heritage
The Railmaster’s original purpose was protection for people working around electrical fields. OMEGA’s 2025 account says the 1957 watch resisted fields up to 1,000 gauss, compared with around 60 gauss for most antimagnetic watches at the time; that historical comparison is OMEGA’s claim. The 2017 edition, reference 220.10.38.20.01.002, has a 38 mm steel case and bracelet, uses Master Chronometer calibre 8806 and is specified by OMEGA as resistant to 15,000 gauss. These figures refer to different generations of Railmaster, not a like-for-like independent test. See OMEGA’s 2017 model page and historical account.
1957 Trilogy Seamaster 300: CK2913 cues
The 39 mm steel Seamaster 300, reference 234.10.39.20.01.001, takes its design cues from the original CK2913. OMEGA calls out two heritage details: the Naiad mark on the crown and the Seahorse image on the caseback. The corresponding boxed-set watch uses reference 234.10.39.20.01.002, not the individual edition’s reference. OMEGA’s model page describes the individual watch and its design details.

1957 Trilogy Speedmaster ’57: the Broad Arrow original
The 38.6 mm steel Speedmaster ’57, reference 311.10.39.30.01.001, looks back to the original Broad Arrow Speedmaster. OMEGA describes that ancestor as its first Speedmaster and notes that it placed the tachymeter scale on the bezel rather than the dial, a defining feature of the model’s racing-oriented design. The set version is reference 311.10.39.30.01.002. See OMEGA’s Speedmaster ’57 page.

The references are the clearest check. For the individual Railmaster, Seamaster 300 and Speedmaster ’57, look respectively for endings .002, .001 and .001 in the full reference numbers shown above. Their boxed-set counterparts end in .003, .002 and .002. A complete set is a distinct 557-set release; its watches should not be described as though each were an individually sold 3,557-piece edition.

When reviewing a seller’s description or photos, compare the stated reference with the watch and the claimed packaging. Confirm whether the offer is for one watch or all three, and whether the box and papers are included; a “Trilogy” label by itself does not establish set completeness.
Discontinued status and buying context
OMEGA Japan currently marks the three individual reference pages as discontinued. That indicates they are no longer listed there as current-production models; it does not establish that every authorized dealer, independent seller or resale marketplace has no stock. The cited catalog pages do not establish a current price or live inventory, so treat both as listing-specific rather than assuming a standard market price.
Quick Recap
- Match the exact reference number to the individual edition or boxed-set version.
- Check condition, service documentation, papers and the specific contents of the box.
- Assess the seller’s identity and the listing’s evidence before relying on a claim of authenticity or completeness.
