The Omega Speedmaster Super Racing, reference 329.30.44.51.01.003, was the first Omega watch announced with the Spirate fine-adjustment system. Omega says Spirate makes certified precision of 0/+2 seconds per day possible; that is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independently measured result for every watch. The model pairs that technology with a 44.25 mm stainless-steel case, a 60-hour power reserve and METAS Master Chronometer certification.
What is Omega’s Spirate system?
In its 26 January 2023 announcement, Swatch Group described Spirate as a silicon (Si14) balance spring combined with an eccentric adjustment mechanism on the balance bridge. According to Omega, the mechanism allows fine adjustment of the stiffness at the spring’s attachment point, enabling more precise rate adjustment. Swatch Group’s announcement identifies the Super Racing as the first Omega timepiece to use it.
Omega said the system makes certified precision of 0/+2 seconds per day possible. That figure should be read as Omega’s stated capability, not a guarantee that every individual watch will gain or lose within that range during all positions, temperatures and wearing conditions. The available official materials do not provide independent, real-world measurements of the watch.
What are the Super Racing’s specifications?
Omega’s product sheet lists the following details for the Speedmaster Super Racing, reference 329.30.44.51.01.003. The model-specific product sheet is the source for the detailed measurements; Omega’s localized product page also identifies the reference and core specifications. Local market specifications or availability may vary.

What does the design reference?
Omega’s 2023 announcement describes the honeycomb dial pattern as a reference to an Omega concept watch that survived magnetic fields of 160,000 gauss. That historical figure concerns the concept watch cited in the design story, not a test result for the Super Racing. The production model’s specified magnetic resistance is 15,000 gauss.
The same announcement presents the black-and-yellow color scheme as a tribute to the 2013 Seamaster Aqua Terra >15,000 gauss. Design details include a black ceramic tachymeter bezel with yellow enamel, yellow accents on chronograph-related hands and dial text, and a sapphire caseback showing the movement. Omega also lists a recycled-nylon black-and-yellow NATO strap, presentation box and strap-changing tool as part of the package.

Is Spirate coming to other Omega watches?
In 2023, Swatch Group said Omega’s long-term plan was to introduce Spirate step by step into other calibres. That was a statement of intent at the time; it does not establish a current rollout or identify which other models may use the system. The Super Racing remains the specific watch described in the cited product materials with Spirate fine adjustment.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How should you assess the accuracy claim?
Separate the technical claim from the watch’s broader credentials. Omega attributes the 0/+2 seconds-per-day certified-precision capability to Spirate. Separately, the product sheet specifies METAS Master Chronometer certification and resistance to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. These details describe Omega’s stated specifications and certification, but they are not a substitute for independent testing of an individual watch in everyday use.

For a comparison with another chronograph, useful points include case diameter and thickness, water resistance, power reserve, movement architecture, magnetic-resistance rating, certification and strap configuration. The figures above give the Super Racing side of that comparison; they do not by themselves establish that it is objectively more accurate or better than another watch.
