The OnePlus Watch 3 officially launched on February 18, 2025, with North American sales starting February 25. Its headline upgrade is endurance: OnePlus rates the 46mm watch for up to five days in Smart Mode, three days with heavy use and 16 days in Power Saver Mode. It also adds a 60-second Health Check-In, wrist-temperature sensing, vascular-health insights, dual-frequency GPS and a rotating crown. The trade-offs are substantial: a large 46.6mm case, Android-only compatibility, region-dependent health features and reduced functionality in Power Saver Mode.
In the United States, OnePlus lists the standard model at a $349.99 MSRP after a launch price of $329.99 and a temporary 2025 increase. Retail pricing and stock can change, so verify the current figure before buying.
What OnePlus announced
The Watch 3 combines Wear OS 5 with a low-power real-time operating system (RTOS). A Snapdragon W5 handles demanding smartwatch tasks while a BES2800BP efficiency microcontroller manages lower-power work. OnePlus pairs that architecture with a 631mAh Silicon NanoStack battery.

Battery life: what five days really means
OnePlus rates the Watch 3 for up to five days in Smart Mode, up to three days under its heavy-use scenario and up to 16 days in Power Saver Mode. It also claims that a 10-minute charge can provide up to a day of use. These are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed results for every owner.
Why endurance is higher than on many Wear OS watches
- A 631mAh battery provides more capacity than the previous generation.
- The Snapdragon W5 supplies performance for apps and Wear OS functions.
- The BES2800BP efficiency chip and RTOS handle background tasks at lower power.
- OnePlus’s Silicon NanoStack battery technology is designed to increase usable capacity within the case.
The five-day estimate assumes controlled settings, including a specified watch face, health monitoring, Bluetooth activity, notifications, calls, sleep tracking, alarms and exercise. Always-on display, frequent GPS workouts, Bluetooth calls, many notifications, third-party watch faces and heavy app use can shorten runtime. Power Saver is a different experience
The 16-day figure comes from Power Saver Mode, which shifts more work to the low-power environment and restricts smartwatch functionality. It should be treated as an endurance mode for essential tracking and basic watch functions, not as 16 days of full Wear OS use. Buyers should compare the five-day Smart Mode claim with their normal settings rather than the maximum Power Saver number.

The Watch 3’s All-in-One Scan is designed to produce a quick wellness report from several signals:

ECG is not universal
ECG Analyzer availability depends on country and regulatory approval. OnePlus’s UK page tied availability to the MHRA process and indicated an expected third-quarter 2025 timeframe, while the US page does not establish that ECG Analyzer is available in the United States. The sapphire-covered 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display reaches a claimed 2,200-nit peak brightness, and the functional rotating crown makes scrolling and menu navigation easier. The stainless-steel case, titanium-style bezel and durability claims give it a premium, traditional-watch feel.
That construction also makes the 46mm model large and heavy. At nearly 12mm thick and up to about 81g with its strap, it may overwhelm small wrists or interfere with sleep comfort. A 5ATM/50m rating, IP68 claim and MIL-STD-810H testing statement describe resistance and testing conditions; they do not make the watch indestructible or suitable for every water activity.
Compatibility and ecosystem limits
The Watch 3 requires an Android phone running Android 9.0 or later, Google Mobile Services version 23.45.23 or later (per OnePlus’s US requirements), the OHealth app from Google Play and Bluetooth permissions. It does not support iPhone or Android Go devices.
Camera control and selected media controls require a OnePlus or OPPO phone running OxygenOS 15 or ColorOS 15 or later. Google Wallet and payment support also depend on the watch’s country and the issuing bank or card, so verify both before purchase.

Price, availability and the 43mm model
The US launch price was $329.99. OnePlus later announced a $349.99 US MSRP in April 2025 after a temporary $499.99 price; the change is documented in the company community post at community.oneplus.com/thread/1849095267731636233. Best Buy has also listed the 46mm model at $349.99, but retailer inventory and discounts are not permanent: Best Buy listing.
OnePlus subsequently introduced a 43mm Watch 3 in the US and Canada. OnePlus rates it for up to 60 hours in Smart Mode under its stated test scenario. It is smaller and easier to wear, but it is not simply the 46mm watch in a smaller shell: secondary hands-on coverage reports that it omits the temperature sensor and vascular-health tracking. Common problems and practical fixes
Battery falls well short of five days
- Reduce or disable the always-on display.
- Limit Bluetooth calls and unnecessary notifications.
- Try a less demanding watch face.
- Review how often GPS workouts run.
A health option is missing
Confirm the country, watch model, OHealth version and phone/account region. Regulated features may not activate on an imported model.
The phone will not pair
Check Android 9.0 or later, Google Mobile Services, OHealth installation, Bluetooth permissions and that the phone is not running Android Go.
A reading looks abnormal
Repeat the measurement with the watch fitted correctly and treat the result as a wellness indicator. Seek qualified medical advice rather than using the watch as a diagnostic device.
Who should buy the OnePlus Watch 3?
Good fit
- Android users who want Wear OS apps without daily charging.
- OnePlus and OPPO owners who can use the extra phone controls.
