The 2025 Oris Big Crown Pointer Date update adds terracotta, green, yellow, lilac and blue dials, introduces a smaller 34 mm case, and brings a new H-link bracelet. It is an expansion of Oris’s established Pointer Date design—not a wholly new watch family. Movement, size, bracelet fit and price depend on the reference.
What changed in the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 2025 collection?
Oris’s 2025 Image Booklet identifies three main changes:
- New terracotta, green, yellow, lilac and blue dial versions.
- A 34.00 mm model in textured beige or black with 12 lab-grown baguette diamond indices.
- A new H-link stainless-steel bracelet with brushed and polished links, supple H-links and an Oris-developed butterfly clasp.
The bracelet is specified for the new 40 mm models and is also described by Oris as compatible with existing 38 mm Big Crown Pointer Date watches. Confirm compatibility against the complete reference before ordering.
Which movements do the 2025 models use?
The booklet separates the new watches by variant rather than assigning one movement to the entire collection.

| Variant | Movement and stated reserve | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| 40 mm terracotta and green | Oris Calibre 403; five days | Oris identifies these as Calibre 400 Series watches. Oris says the series has more than 30 anti-magnetic parts and exceeds the enhanced anti-magnetic standard in ISO 764. |
| 40 mm yellow, lilac and blue | Swiss Made automatic; calibre not identified in the reviewed booklet passage | Do not infer Calibre 403 from the dial color or case size. |
| 34 mm beige or black diamond-index models | Swiss Made automatic; calibre not identified in the reviewed booklet passage | The booklet does not establish a calibre for these references. |
For comparison, Oris’s current US page for the yellow 40 mm example lists automatic Calibre 754-1 with a 41-hour reserve, so that particular watch should not be conflated with the five-day Calibre 403 variants.
What sizes does the 2025 Big Crown Pointer Date come in?
The 2025 material discusses new 40 mm and 34 mm watches. The broader live Oris Big Crown catalog also includes 38 mm, 29 mm and other Big Crown references. A catalog listing is not, by itself, proof that every size or color launched for 2025.
34 mm
The new 34.00 mm option is the smallest 2025 Pointer Date discussed by Oris. It comes with a textured beige dial or a black dial set with 12 lab-grown baguette diamond indices. The reviewed launch passage does not name its calibre.

38 mm
The 38 mm size remains represented by existing models and the new Bullseye reference. Oris says the new H-link bracelet is compatible with existing 38 mm Big Crown Pointer Date watches, subject to reference confirmation.

The colored 2025 variants discussed in the booklet use 40 mm cases. The terracotta and green versions are assigned Calibre 403; the yellow, lilac and blue versions are described as Swiss Made automatics, with the calibre unspecified in that passage.

Bracelet, strap and fit questions
Will the new H-link bracelet fit a 38 mm Big Crown Pointer Date?
Oris says it is compatible with existing 38 mm Big Crown Pointer Date watches, while also fitting the new 40 mm models. Because lug geometry and end links are reference-specific, verify the exact watch reference with Oris or an authorized service point before purchase.
What strap width does each cited model use?
The 38 mm Bullseye page lists a 19 mm interhorn width. The 40 mm yellow page lists 20 mm. Those dimensions are not interchangeable, and a generic strap should not be assumed to fit every Big Crown Pointer Date.
What is the Pointer Date design and history?
Oris says the Big Crown Pointer Date was introduced in 1938 and has remained in continuous production. In the brand’s account, the original pilot-oriented design used an oversized crown intended to be operable by a gloved airman, large Arabic numerals and a central red-tipped pointer hand that indicates the date on a peripheral scale. Oris’s Product Manual likewise describes its first pointer-calendar movement as launching in 1938 and explains that a pointer can indicate a date or another measure spatially on a dial scale.
Oris characterizes the design as “simple, functional, timeless,” but that is brand language rather than an independent appraisal.
How the 2025 collection fits together
- Choose 34 mm if the smaller case or diamond-indexed presentation is the priority; the reviewed material does not identify its movement calibre.
- Choose 40 mm terracotta or green for the explicitly stated five-day Calibre 403 configuration.
- Choose 40 mm yellow, lilac or blue for the colored 40 mm designs, while checking the individual reference because the booklet describes their movement only as Swiss Made automatic.
- Consider the 38 mm Bullseye if you want a documented 38 mm example with a 19 mm interhorn width and 41-hour Calibre 754-1.
Oris’s official pages establish specifications for individual references, not a universal specification for every 2025 dial and size. Check the reference, movement, interhorn width, water resistance and local price together before buying.
What is not established by the available official material
The cited sources do not provide independent accuracy tests, owner reports, measured performance, a complete 2025 SKU list, exact launch dates for every variant, real-time stock information or global pricing. Claims about comfort, reliability, comparative value or accuracy therefore require evidence beyond the official pages cited here.
