Oris introduced two Big Crown Wings of Hope limited editions in 2022: a 40 mm stainless-steel model limited to 1,000 pieces and a 38 mm 18K yellow-gold model limited to 100. They share a white-dial design and automatic Calibre 401, but differ in size, metal, production limit and price. Oris’s US product pages currently list both as unavailable online, so the prices below are not a guarantee of present availability.
What are the Oris Wings of Hope watches?
These are special editions of the Oris Big Crown supporting Wings of Hope, an aviation-focused humanitarian nonprofit. The models debuted in 2022 as a steel-and-gold pair. Time+Tide’s launch coverage described stone-white dials, red subsidiary-seconds hands with a blue register accent, luminous Arabic numerals and hands, and honey-brown Cervo Volante deer-leather straps with quick-release tabs. Those are details from the 2022 launch account; consult Oris’s current product listings for the present technical specifications.
The watches share the no-date Calibre 401 concept, white dial and five-day power reserve. Their cases are not identical in size or material: the steel edition is 40 mm, while the gold edition is 38 mm. Oris lists the gold reference as 01 401 7782 6081-Set and the steel as 01 401 7781 4081-Set.

What Calibre 401 offers
Both editions use Oris Calibre 401, an automatic movement without a date. Oris specifies a 120-hour power reserve, equivalent to five days, and a frequency of 28,800 A/h (4 Hz) for the gold reference. The dial has central hour and minute hands and a small-seconds display at 6 o’clock; the movement also has stop-seconds, allowing the seconds hand to stop when setting the time.
Oris describes Calibre 401 as highly anti-magnetic and recommends service intervals of 10 years. For the gold listing, Oris separately states a two-year warranty and a free extension to 10 years with MyOris registration. The extended term is conditional on sign-up, not an unconditional warranty promise.

What the partnership supports
Wings of Hope says it has served communities since 1963. Its work includes medical relief and air transport, education and outreach, and global programs connecting aviation-based nonprofits with humanitarian aid. The organization describes free medical air transport for patients who need specialized care not available locally, within 26 states and an 800-mile radius of St. Louis.
Time+Tide’s 2022 article reported that more than 65,000 people used Wings of Hope programs and services in 2021, attributing the figure to Oris. It is a dated 2021 figure, not a current annual total. In Wings of Hope’s 2022 partnership coverage, president and CEO Bret Heinrich said the organization was proud to partner with Oris and praised the company’s use of its products and brand to bring attention to its work.
