The official specifications make it an appealing option for someone who wants a vintage-inspired watch that can indicate a second time zone, but they do not establish how it wears, keeps time in practice, or feels in use. This is a specification-based review, not a firsthand owner account.
Which exact Oris Divers Sixty-Five is this?
This review concerns reference 01 400 7772 4054-07. Oris’s Poland product listing identifies the displayed configuration with suffix 5 20 82 as a black-dial model on a leather strap. The page also shows other configuration options, including textile and steel bracelet choices, so strap details should be checked against the full reference suffix rather than assumed from the model name alone. Oris’s exact-reference listing.
What does the 12-hour bezel do?
Oris describes the bezel as being “for GMT.” In practical terms, a 12-hour bezel can be used to track a second time zone: align its 12-hour scale with the hour hand, then read that hand against the bezel’s markers for the other zone. Because the bezel is independently rotated, the offset can be adjusted for time zones that differ by whole hours.
This is not the same display as a conventional GMT watch with a dedicated, independently adjustable 24-hour hand. Oris’s listing for this reference does not specify such a hand. The bezel’s 12-hour scale also does not show day versus night on its own, so you need to know whether the second location is in the morning or evening.

Calibre 400: reserve and anti-magnetism claims
Oris specifies a 120-hour power reserve for this exact reference. In principle, that means the movement can continue running for up to five days after being fully wound, although the product page does not provide an independent reserve test. For Oris’s broader Calibre 400 description, the company says the movement uses over 30 non-ferrous anti-magnetic components and reports deviation of less than 10 seconds a day after exposure to 2,250 gauss, describing the result as surpassing ISO 764. These are Oris’s manufacturer claims in the context of its magnetism test, not a general accuracy guarantee or an independently reproduced result. Oris’s Calibre 400 technical page.

- Brown Calf Leather Strap
What strap fits this reference?
The listed interhorn width is 20 mm, making a 20 mm strap the appropriate starting point when shopping. Oris displays leather, textile, and steel bracelet choices for the model, but width alone cannot confirm that any particular strap or bracelet will fit. End-link shape, attachment method, thickness, and clearance against the case can matter, so verify compatibility for the precise reference and accessory before buying.
Warranty, service, price, and availability
On the retrieved exact-reference product page, Oris lists a two-year warranty and says customers can “Join MyOris and get your warranty extended for free to 10 years.” The extension depends on registration and applicable terms; the product-page excerpt does not spell out full eligibility or coverage, so check Oris’s current conditions before relying on it. The same regional listing showed CHF 3,400 for the displayed configuration and CHF 3,600 for a 40 mm variation, while marking the exact model unavailable online and directing customers to stores. These are page observations for that regional listing, not universal MSRP or current street prices. Check local availability and pricing where you plan to buy.
Oris has discussed 10-year recommended service intervals for a different Divers Sixty-Five: a 38 mm no-date Calibre 400 variant. That recommendation should not be treated as confirmed guidance for this 40 mm 12H reference; the exact-reference product page does not state a service interval. Is it worth considering?
The case for this watch rests on the combination of a 12-hour second-time-zone bezel, a 40 mm stainless-steel case, 10 bar stated water resistance, and Oris’s five-day reserve specification. The main distinction to understand before buying is the bezel interface: it offers a way to follow another time zone, but it is not a substitute for a dedicated 24-hour GMT hand if that is the display you want.
Whether it is worth the price for you also depends on fit and ownership experience that the published specifications cannot settle. No hands-on account or timing log is available here to establish accuracy in daily wear, comfort, bezel action, lume performance, or real-world swimming performance. Those questions require trying the watch or consulting a genuine owner’s account; the stated water-resistance rating is not a personal test result.
