It later led to a bespoke 911 GT3 Touring and, separately, ambassador work for Porsche Design. In an October 2, 2026, Robb Report interview republished by Yahoo Autos, Bloom links the cars to the pleasure of driving—and describes luxury not as having more, but as having “less of better.”
How Bloom’s Porsche connection began
Bloom’s first major automotive splurge was a black 1973 Porsche 911S. He bought it in his mid-20s, after the original Lord of the Rings films had made him successful. Before that, he had a forest-green Volkswagen Golf GT, which the interview says was damaged while parked.
The 911 mattered to him as more than a marker of success. Bloom describes driving a great car as “an experience and a moment of meditation,” adding that it can bring “a sort of feeling that you get, of clarity.” That account makes the car’s appeal experiential: the drive itself is part of what he values.
From a 911S to a bespoke 911 GT3 Touring
Bloom later commissioned a 911 GT3 Touring through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch customization workshop in Stuttgart. The Robb Report feature describes its finish as Underberg green over Cohiba brown. An AOL interview published in March 2026 also reports that Bloom traveled to Stuttgart to build the car and characterizes his Porsche Design collaboration as an organic development of his enthusiasm for the marque.

Bloom told Robb Report he still has the 1973 911S and the custom Touring, along with a few other special cars. Cars including a 1971 Aston Martin DBS V8 and a Series 1 Jaguar E-Type have been part of his history but have since come and gone. He says he has four cars; the interview does not provide an independently verified, complete current inventory.
His Porsche Design role is distinct from owning Porsche cars
Bloom’s ambassador relationship is with Porsche Design, the lifestyle brand, rather than a claim that he represents Porsche automobiles generally. Robb Report says the relationship began about two years before its October 2026 feature. Earlier campaign coverage from Luxury Daily, published February 5, 2025, connects him with Porsche Design eyewear and timepieces.

The 2025 campaign featured the Chronograph 1 watch and the 2025 eyewear collection. Porsche Lifestyle Group CEO Stefan Buescher said Bloom “truly embodies our lifestyle, as well as our shared values of authenticity, style, and a passion for perfection.” The link between his personal car enthusiasm and the brand partnership is clear, but the campaign itself was for Porsche Design products.
What Bloom means by luxury
Bloom’s definition is practical and deliberately restrained: “There is value in having great storage. But I think as time goes on, I realize that luxury isn’t necessarily more. Luxury is less of better.” He says he tries to keep his cars around him and use them wherever possible: “I have four, so wherever possible, I try to use them and make the most out of them.”

He punctures the idea of collecting without limits with a joke: “You’ve only got one ass!” In context, “less of better” is Bloom’s own way of describing his priorities—not a universal rule about luxury or collecting. For him, owning a special car has value when it also means being able to enjoy it.

The first two locations are planned for Dallas, Texas, and West Palm Beach, Florida; the reporting does not establish that either site has opened.
