1. Santos de Cartier Dual Time: the travel-oriented choice
The Santos de Cartier Dual Time is the straightforward pick for someone who wants more than one time zone at a glance. British GQ reported that its second time-zone indication sits at six o’clock; Cartier’s 2024 announcement likewise describes it as measuring time in two places at once. That makes the added function legible without changing the Santos’s recognizable square-case design. British GQ’s 9 April 2024 report and Cartier’s 2024 press release, carried by Time International describe the launch.
Choose it for the second-zone display, not on the assumption that every Santos wears alike: the current Cartier catalogue includes small, medium and large Santos models, and exact dimensions and configurations depend on the reference. The catalogue’s present-day offerings are not all 2024 releases. Cartier’s current US Santos catalogue shows steel and titanium options as well as those size categories.

2. Santos-Dumont Rewind: the most unconventional time display
The Santos-Dumont Rewind changes the normal direction of time-reading. British GQ describes reversed dial numerals and a manual-winding movement that runs in reverse; Cartier’s announcement says the watch can count time backwards. Its appeal is the concept as much as the look: it takes a familiar Santos-Dumont shape and makes the act of reading the dial feel deliberately unfamiliar.
British GQ reported at launch that the Rewind was limited to 200 pieces and due in June 2024. That is historical launch-era reporting, not an indication of current stock or availability. The source does not establish a current price or whether any pieces remain available.

3. Tortue Monopoussoir Chronographe: the mechanics-led choice
The Tortue Monopoussoir Chronographe is the pick for someone drawn to shaped cases and visible watchmaking. Cartier’s 2024 announcement says its open back reveals the Manufacture 1928 MC movement, including a column wheel that regulates the chronograph’s levers. A monopusher chronograph offers a different interface from a conventional multi-button layout; the distinctive Tortue case also gives this watch a different visual presence from the square Santos.
The announcement supports the movement and column-wheel details, but does not provide a full reference-level specification set in the material available here. Confirm the exact case dimensions, materials and strap configuration for a particular watch before comparing fit or value.

Other Santos variations
British GQ’s launch report also covered three new Santos de Cartier pieces: a yellow-gold-and-steel version with a grey dial, plus two brown-dial versions in different sizes. That adds useful variety within the line, but it does not make them interchangeable choices. Compare the precise reference, case size, materials and bracelet or strap setup before deciding which works for your wrist and use.
Reflection de Cartier
Cartier’s 2024 announcement also names Reflection de Cartier and describes an effect that shifts “the real into the imaginary.” The announcement does not provide practical specifications in the material cited here, so there is not enough detail to assess it alongside these three on size, movement or everyday wearability.

What the 2024 coverage does—and does not—establish
British GQ’s Mike Christensen published the cited Santos coverage on 9 April 2024. It includes subjective reactions from Dimepiece founder and editor Brynn Wallner and Cartier style and heritage director Pierre Rainero. Wallner called the Santos an “It boy watch,” referring to its popularity in her social circle, while Rainero commented on its immediate masculine feel. Those are attributed impressions, not buying rules or evidence that the watch is intended for one gender.
