The Baltic Prismic Stone is a compact, hand-wound dress watch built around a naturally patterned stone dial. The important distinction is that the 2024 showroom stone editions were limited to 200 pieces per model and Baltic says they will not be reproduced; the Pink Albite is a later variant Baltic describes as part of its permanent collection. They also use different movements, so reserve and availability depend on the exact reference.

Which Baltic Prismic Stone are you considering?

“Prismic Stone” refers to more than one release. Baltic’s 2024 Showroom Edition archive lists natural-stone models including Green Jade, Red Agate and Lapis Lazuli, in city-themed editions. Baltic says those watches were sold in September 2024 in runs of 200 pieces per model and will not be reproduced.

The Pink Albite is a distinct later reference, described on Baltic’s product page as part of the permanent collection. That status does not guarantee stock in every region or at every moment. Check the listing for your market before treating it as available to order.

For a non-stone alternative, the Prismic Grey Blue has a guilloché, brushed and grained dial. It shares the same headline case dimensions and published water-resistance rating as the stone versions.

What does the stone dial look like?

The dial is the reason to choose this Prismic over the standard Grey Blue. Baltic describes each natural-stone dial as unique, so the pattern on a particular watch will not be identical to every product photograph or another example. The manufacturer does not quantify how much individual dials vary. Buyers who want a highly uniform surface should factor that uncertainty into the choice.

The layout remains restrained: small seconds sit at 6 o’clock, with brushed dauphine hands and applied polished hour markers. Those details give the stone a formal frame rather than making the watch feel like a novelty dial. The Grey Blue offers a different kind of visual texture through its combination of guilloché, brushing and graining, without the natural variation of stone.

Movement and reserve vary by reference

Do not assume every Prismic Stone has the same calibre. Baltic lists an ETA Peseux 7001 manual-winding movement and a 42-hour power reserve for the archived 2024 stone editions. The Pink Albite page instead specifies a La Joux-Perret D100 manual movement with a 50-hour reserve. The standard Grey Blue uses the ETA Peseux 7001 and is listed with a 42-hour reserve.

How compact is the case?

Baltic lists a 36 mm diameter, 44 mm lug-to-lug length and 9.2 mm overall thickness; without the crystal, thickness is 7.4 mm. The lug width is 20 mm. These proportions make the watch a compact option on paper, especially compared with larger contemporary dress watches, though wrist fit also depends on wrist shape and personal preference.

The case combines 316L stainless steel and Grade 5 titanium. All three references in the comparison have a double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, and Baltic publishes a water-resistance rating of 30 m (3 ATM). That is the stated specification; it is not a basis for assuming the watch is suitable for swimming.

Strap options and compatibility

Baltic lists Italian calf leather and steel mesh options, with the 20 mm lug width providing the relevant size when considering another strap. Baltic says its straps fit except for its Beads of Rice and Flat Link bracelets. That manufacturer caveat is worth checking before purchasing a bracelet or strap separately; compatibility of other third-party products is not established here.

Price and availability: verify the exact listing

The original showroom launch prices reported by Fratello in 2024 were €1,250 on leather and €1,310 on mesh, both excluding taxes. Those are historical prices, not current quotes. Baltic’s Pink Albite page identifies it as permanent collection, but neither that description nor the archived release record establishes live inventory or a dependable current price for a particular country. Check Baltic’s applicable regional listing for present terms.

Is the Baltic Prismic Stone worth buying?

It makes the most sense for someone who wants a small, hand-wound dress watch and values the dial’s individual natural pattern more than exact visual uniformity. Pink Albite is the relevant option to investigate for a continuing collection reference; the 2024 stones appeal to collectors seeking the specifically limited showroom release, but Baltic says those editions will not be reproduced.

Choose the Grey Blue instead if you prefer a composed textured dial without natural-stone variation. Across the options, the 36 mm case and 44 mm lug-to-lug length are consistent, while the movement and stated reserve are not: make the reference check part of any comparison or purchase decision.
