What the Equation of Time complication shows
Ordinary clock time follows mean solar time, an averaged measure used to keep time regular. True solar time follows the Sun’s apparent position, and the two do not always agree. Panerai’s official archive description for the related PAM00601 explains the Equation of Time as the difference between true solar time and mean solar time, displayed by a linear indicator. - Leave the crown in its initial position, position 0.
- Turn the crown clockwise until the power-reserve indicator reaches 8.
