What do the Kalpagraphe Chronomètre and Kalpa Chronor have in common?
Both belong to Parmigiani Fleurier’s Kalpa family, which the Fondation Haute Horlogerie says was created in 2001. Its defining language includes a tonneau-shaped case, teardrop lugs, ergonomic contours and delta-shaped hands. The two watch pages list matching case dimensions and thickness, as well as 30 m water resistance and a 65-hour power reserve. Those shared figures make the movement and edition differences more useful for distinguishing the models than the published case measurements alone.

The Kalpagraphe Chronomètre is listed with automatic calibre PF362, COSC certification, 65 hours of power reserve and a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour. The Fondation Haute Horlogerie says PF362 is identical to PF365 except that PF365 is made in gold for the limited Kalpa Chronor. The model page lists 332 components and 32 jewels for the PF362.

The Chronor’s PF365 is described as a solid-gold, automatic integrated chronograph movement, with 348 components and 32 jewels. The Fondation Haute Horlogerie calls it “the world’s first ever tonneau-shaped, solid gold, automatic, integrated chronograph movement.” That is the institution’s description of the calibre’s distinction, rather than an independently adjudicated superlative. The page lists the Chronor as a 50-piece limited edition.
Both movements are listed as COSC-certified and running at 36,000 vph, with 65 hours of reserve. The pages’ one-tenth-second descriptions concern the stated rate/precision capability; they are not independent accuracy-test results for individual watches.

What does the hands-on review say about wearing the Kalpagraphe?
An Ape to Gentleman reviewer says they spent a week with the Kalpagraphe Chronomètre. Their account describes an 18 ct rose-gold case measuring 48.2 × 40.4 mm, an Abyss-blue dial, an angled tachymeter scale, semi-luminescent delta-shaped hands, a rounded date indicator and a Hermès alligator strap. Those details and any impressions of wear belong to that reviewer’s report: Ape to Gentleman’s Kalpagraphe Chronomètre review.
The strap descriptions are not identical across the cited material. The Fondation Haute Horlogerie lists a black alligator strap, while Ape to Gentleman describes a Hermès alligator strap; Hodinkee’s historical introduction also describes the Kalpagraphe with a blue Hermès alligator strap. These reports do not establish that every production example has the same strap or dial treatment, so confirm the exact configuration of a specific watch with its seller.

Do the shared case dimensions mean they wear alike?
The Fondation Haute Horlogerie lists both watches at 48.20 × 40.40 mm and 14 mm thick. The figures provide a useful starting point for comparison, but they do not prove that either watch will feel comfortable on a particular wrist. Case shape, lug geometry, strap fit and personal preference matter; an actual try-on is the practical way to assess fit. The available week-long review concerns the Kalpagraphe Chronomètre only, so it cannot establish how the Kalpa Chronor wears.
