What was Pastiche Patches?

How Johan came up with the idea
Johan said he began the project in 2016 while he was in college. A piece of practical advice shaped the business concept: choose something small enough to mail in an envelope, so it would not require much storage. The product itself came from a personal frustration. As he recalled, “The summer was just around the corner, and I came up with the idea when I couldn’t find any nice-looking patches to customize my bomber jacket and thought -I’ll make my own patches!”

His own watch interest informed the designs. In the 2019 profile, he described a particular affection for vintage diving watches and their original role as instruments rather than jewelry. That perspective helps explain why the designs drew on recognizable dive-watch details and histories.
What designs did the 2019 profile describe?
The first release was a “black lung” patch associated with the Doxa SUB 300 no-T. The profile also names “no-radiation” and Submariner designs. By 2019, it reported more than 20 designs, with motifs connected to Rolex, Tudor, Grand Seiko, Omega, and Doxa.

The range was meant to speak to collectors with different loyalties. Johan said, “I have tried to make a wide range of patches as I know there is a lot of watch-collectors that is very dedicated to one or two brands and would love to show the dedication on a piece of fabric.”
According to the same 2019 account, the Submariner design was the top seller, followed by Heuer and the Rolex crown. These are historical details from the profile, not current sales or catalog information.
