It combines perpetual and weekly calendars, moon phase, jumping seconds and a 31-day power reserve in a silver cabinet decorated with green Grand Feu enamel. Patek Philippe claims accuracy within ±1 second per 24 hours; that is a manufacturer specification, not an independently verified test result.
What is the Patek Philippe Ref. 27000M-001?
“27000M” is shorthand for the full reference 27000M-001. Patek Philippe describes it as a Grand Complications desk clock powered by the manually wound caliber 86-135 PEND S IRM Q SE. Its indications include a subsidiary hour-and-minute dial, central jumping seconds and a central power-reserve display, alongside an extensive calendar display. Patek Philippe’s product page and its April 2025 release provide the maker’s specifications.
Calendar and time indications
- Perpetual calendar showing day, date, month, leap year and day/night.
- Weekly calendar, with the week number shown through a mobile aperture around the dial’s edge.
- Moon-phase display.
- Subsidiary hour-and-minute dial, central jumping seconds and central power-reserve indication. The jumping-seconds hand advances once per second.
How do the 31-day reserve and accuracy claim work?
Patek Philippe says three going barrels connected in series provide the 31-day power reserve. A constant-force mechanism is intended to help maintain stable balance amplitude over that reserve, while the power-reserve hand indicates when winding is needed. The company states a rate accuracy within ±1 second per 24 hours. These are manufacturer descriptions and claims; no independent timing test is established here.
The manufacture says development of the movement took seven years and involved nine patent applications. The latter figure refers to applications associated with development, not nine confirmed granted patents. The 2025 release lists 912 movement parts, but its jewel count conflicts with the current product page: the release gives 67, while the product page gives 83. Patek Philippe has not resolved that discrepancy in the cited material, so neither figure should be treated as settled.

What are the materials and dimensions?
The cabinet is made of 925 silver, with vermeil decorative elements—silver with a gold finish—and green Grand Feu flinqué enamel panels over guilloché decoration. The dial is silvery opaline.
The current product page lists dimensions of 164.6 × 125 mm and a height of 76.73 mm. Patek Philippe’s April 2025 release gives the same first two dimensions but a height of 76.3 mm. For current specifications, the product page is the more recent listing; the difference in published height remains unexplained.

The release’s technical data says the clock is not water-resistant and is protected against humidity and dust. It should not be described or treated as water-resistant.
How is the clock wound and set?
Under a hinged cover, Patek Philippe places what it calls a mechanical dashboard. It houses the winding and setting key. Five push-piece correctors below the dial adjust the week, day, moon phase, month/year and date. Because calendar correctors and setting sequences can be sensitive, follow the maker’s official instructions linked from the product page rather than guessing at adjustments.

What does it cost?
The official English product page displayed a price of £1,049,540 when checked for this article; the same page’s search result displayed US$1,337,011. These are different regional page displays, not a universal price or guaranteed current quote. Confirm the price and availability with Patek Philippe for the relevant market.
Do not confuse the production clock’s price with the CHF 9.5 million auction result cited in Patek Philippe’s 2025 release. That 2021 Only Watch result was for a unique preview clock, Ref. 27001M-001—not the production Ref. 27000M-001—and does not establish the latter’s resale value.

Why does Patek Philippe connect it to earlier desk clocks?
Patek Philippe presents the 27000M-001 as a reinterpretation of a 1923 desk clock made for American automobile manufacturer James Ward Packard. Its 2025 release also recounts a related 1927 clock delivered to New York banker Henry Graves Jr. The company says both historic clocks are now in the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva; this is the manufacturer’s account of its own history.
