Patek Philippe’s listing labels these references discontinued from the collection; that status can change and should be rechecked before publication. The specifications below are manufacturer figures, not results of independent testing or hands-on fit assessment.
How the six Cubitus references differ
The most useful comparison is by case size, material, display, movement, power reserve, and bracelet or strap. Patek Philippe measures the 45 mm cases diagonally from 10 to 4; that figure is not directly equivalent to the diameter of a round watch.

All six official reference pages list a screw-down crown and sapphire-crystal case back. The four 26-330 S C models use a 21K-gold central rotor and Spiromax balance spring; the two complication calibers use off-center 22K-gold mini-rotors. Patek Philippe gives a 4 Hz frequency for the time-and-date movements and 3 Hz for the complication movements. These are manufacturer specifications.

Design and collection context
Patek Philippe says Cubitus debuted in 2024 with a rounded-edge square case and horizontally embossed dials. The manufacturer describes the case as combining impressions of a square, circle, and octagon, with polished and vertical satin-brushed surfaces. This is Patek Philippe’s design description, rather than an independent assessment.
The official overview situates Cubitus among the manufacture’s earlier quadrangular designs, including museum examples such as the 1913–1922 Chronometro Gondolo (inventory P-1134) and a late-1940s “Eiffel Tower” watch (P-1000). Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe, described the intended spirit this way: “I would like this watch to have a real sporty, fresh spirit. Capturing the essence of a convertible car.”
The official overview describes the 7128 variants as introduced in 2025, while the official listing marks the 5840P as a 2026 model. The six-reference list is not evidence that each watch is currently available to buy.

The four time-and-date models
5821/1A-001 and 5821/1AR-001
Both 5821 models pair the 45 mm, 8.3 mm-thick case with the self-winding 26-330 S C, date, sweep seconds, and stop-seconds function. The 5821/1A is steel with an olive-green dial and steel bracelet; the 5821/1AR combines steel and rose gold with a blue dial and two-tone bracelet. The official pages specify 207 parts, 30 jewels, and a 35–45-hour power reserve for this movement.
7128/1G-001 and 7128/1R-001
The 7128 models use a 40 mm case, are 8.5 mm thick, and retain the date-and-seconds layout. The 7128/1G pairs white gold with a blue-gray dial; the 7128/1R pairs rose gold with a brown dial. Both use the 26-330 S C, specified with 215 parts, 30 jewels, and a 35–45-hour power reserve.
The two grand complications
5822P-001: instantaneous grand date
The platinum 5822P displays a large date through a double aperture, with an instantaneous day indication by hand, moon phases, and small seconds. Its 240 PS CI J LU movement has 353 parts and 52 jewels, with a stated 38–48-hour power reserve. The watch is 9.6 mm thick and comes on a navy composite strap.

Patek Philippe associates six patent applications with development of the instantaneous grand-date mechanism. The manufacturer’s wording is important: these are applications or patents pending, not a claim that six patents have been granted.
5840P-001: skeletonized perpetual calendar
The platinum 5840P combines an openworked blue dial with the self-winding skeleton caliber 28-28 Q SQU. Its perpetual-calendar indications include day, date, month, leap year, 24-hour information, and moon phases. The movement has 313 parts, 27 jewels, and a stated 38–48-hour power reserve. The case is 10 mm thick and is paired with a blue composite strap.

These distinctions describe published specifications, not wrist comfort, availability, accuracy, or personal preference. The 45 mm diagonal measurement should not be read as a round-watch diameter, and only trying a watch on can establish an individual fit.

Water resistance and availability
The official pages list 30 m water resistance for all six references. That specification is not a swimming or diving recommendation. Follow Patek Philippe’s care guidance and have water resistance checked as appropriate.
The listing labels the references discontinued from the collection, but retail and secondary-market availability is unresolved by the official specifications. Confirm current collection status and contact an authorized retailer for reference-specific ordering and availability information. A listing alone does not establish that a watch is in stock.
