How the perpetual calendar works—and its 2100 correction
The calendar displays the day, date, month and leap-year information, with a 24-hour indication and moon phases. A perpetual calendar accounts for ordinary leap-year cycles, but it does not automatically handle every century-year exception. Patek Philippe explains that a manual correction is required between February 28 and March 1 in 2100, because 2100 is not a leap year under the Gregorian calendar rules.
