Check current local Samsung guidance for the particular feature you need, and consult a clinician rather than relying on a watch result for diagnosis or treatment.
Check phone compatibility before buying
Galaxy Watch 4 requires a compatible Android phone and the Galaxy Wearable app. Samsung says Galaxy Watches running Wear OS are not compatible with iPhones. A compatible non-Samsung Android phone may work, but some features—including Email and Samsung Pay—may not be available. For setup, install Galaxy Wearable from Google Play, open it, tap Start, select the watch and follow the pairing prompts. Install available updates, then review notification and Samsung Health permissions. Screens may differ by device or provider. If pairing fails, charge and restart both devices, update Galaxy Wearable and related Samsung services, and pair through the app rather than only through Android’s Bluetooth menu. If the watch was previously paired, remove the old pairing or reset it. A reset will not solve an incompatible phone or unsupported regional model.
