It tracks sleep and a range of health and activity metrics, but it lacks the sleep-apnea monitoring RingConn includes with the $299 Gen 2. That makes the Air a lower-priced option within RingConn’s own lineup—not proof that it outperforms other smart rings or delivers clinically validated health measurements.
What the Gen 2 Air tracks
RingConn says the Air tracks sleep stages, heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), skin temperature, steps and activity, calories, stress, and menstrual-cycle information. The company describes continuous monitoring for several health metrics. These are manufacturer feature claims, not independent findings about accuracy or clinical usefulness; the ring should not be treated as a medical diagnostic device.

Choose the right size before judging the fit

The comparison favors Air on listed price, while Gen 2 adds the specific apnea-monitoring feature and a charging case with stored power. Neither feature list establishes medical accuracy. RingConn’s material descriptions for Air vary: its pages use “Eco-friendly Stainless Steel,” “Premium Titanium Steel,” and “Titanium Steels, PVD Coating, Medical-Grade Epoxy Resin.” Treat those as the company’s wording, not a verified material grade; ask RingConn for clarification if composition matters to your purchase.

RingConn advertises up to 10 days of use from a full charge, depending on ring size. That is a maximum manufacturer claim, not a measured result, and actual runtime may differ. The company lists approximately 90 minutes to reach a full charge. The box includes a wired charging dock and Type-C cable; unlike the Gen 2 charging case, the Air dock is not described as storing extra battery power.
RingConn’s product specifications list a 6.8 mm width, 2 mm thickness, and weight of 2.5–4 g depending on size. They also state IP68 and water resistance to 100 m (328 ft), a working temperature range of 0–40°C (32–104°F), Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and offline storage for 5–7 days.
