Rolex introduced the Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller in 2025 as an integrated-bracelet watch in 36 mm and 40 mm versions. Its signature is a bracelet designed to flow into the case; its technical headline is calibre 7135, a new high-frequency movement Rolex says runs at 5 Hz and offers approximately 66 hours of power reserve. The details below use Rolex’s own specifications and explanations, not independent testing.
What the Land-Dweller is
The Land-Dweller is Rolex’s contemporary take on a watch whose bracelet integrates visually with its case. Rolex describes the collection in 36 mm and 40 mm sizes, with configurations that include precious-metal and gem-set versions. Metal, bezel, dial and gem details vary by reference, so collection-wide descriptions should not be mistaken for the specification of every model. Rolex’s collection overview says it “reinterprets the intricate and challenging design of watches with integrated bracelets.”
Rolex places the design in a longer history of its own integrated-bracelet watches, citing the Rolex Quartz introduced in 1969 and a self-winding mechanical Datejust in 1974. That is the brand’s account of its design lineage. Rolex’s 2025 announcement introduces the collection and its bracelet.
What makes the bracelet and case distinctive?
Flat Jubilee bracelet
The Flat Jubilee was designed for the Land-Dweller. Rolex describes five-piece solid links, polished and technical satin finishes, and polished chamfers; the bracelet’s lines are intended to continue into the restyled Oyster case. On reference 127334, Rolex specifies a concealed folding Crownclasp. These are manufacturer descriptions of construction and design, not independent assessments of comfort or finishing.

Reference 127334 as a concrete example
The Land-Dweller 40 reference 127334 combines a 40 mm Oyster case in white Rolesor—Oystersteel and white gold—with a fluted bezel, intense-white honeycomb dial and Flat Jubilee bracelet. Rolex lists a transparent case back, a screw-down Twinlock crown, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and Cyclops lens over the date. Its stated water resistance is 100 metres (330 feet). Those specifications apply to this reference, not automatically to other Land-Dwellers. Rolex’s current reference page provides its product details.
How calibre 7135 works—and what its figures mean
Both Land-Dweller sizes use self-winding calibre 7135, which Rolex says it developed and manufactures. Rolex describes it as an evolution of calibre 7140, with a regulating system based on the Dynapulse escapement and oscillator. The brand says Dynapulse uses silicon to improve energy transmission from the barrel to the oscillator, and that its Syloxi silicon hairspring and ceramic balance staff are designed to resist strong magnetic fields. Those are Rolex’s engineering claims; the cited material does not provide independent comparative test results.

The high frequency has a visible consequence: Rolex says the seconds hand makes ten jumps per second, enabling measurement to a tenth of a second. The dial’s angled flange carries a half-second track. A tenth-of-a-second indication is not the same as a tenth-of-a-second daily accuracy claim; the stated daily rate for reference 127334 is −2/+2 seconds per day after casing.
Rolex’s technical feature page also describes a specialized assembly and lubrication process for Dynapulse: oil rather than grease is dispensed in nanolitres with a precision needle, and the system is assembled on an external support before being inserted into the movement. These process details explain the brand’s stated approach; they do not by themselves establish comparative reliability or efficiency. Rolex’s watchmaking-features page gives the technical explanation and describes the seconds-hand motion as particularly smooth.
Which Land-Dweller should you compare?
Start with the size, then compare the exact reference rather than assuming that a different Land-Dweller shares the 127334’s materials or features.
- Choose a case size: the collection is offered in 36 mm and 40 mm versions.
- Check the material and treatment: Rolex lists precious-metal and gem-set variations; verify the exact metal, bezel and dial for the reference you are considering.
- Read the reference specification: details such as the 127334’s fluted bezel, white Rolesor case and 100-metre water resistance should not be generalized to the full collection.
- Confirm price and availability directly: the cited official materials do not establish comparative prices or current stock.
Rolex reports 32 patent applications and patents pertaining to the Land-Dweller, 18 of them exclusive to the model, on its collection page. The page does not state a publication year for that count, so it should be treated as the brand’s undated reported figure rather than a launch-year statistic.
