The Rolex Submariner Date 126610LN is the 41 mm Oystersteel model with a black dial, black ceramic bezel and date display. Rolex’s US product page listed it at $11,350 on October 3, 2026; that is a displayed US price, not a guaranteed transaction price. This guide explains its specifications, the date model’s differences from the no-date Submariner, and what published wearing impressions can—and cannot—tell you.
What is the Rolex Submariner Date 126610LN?
Reference 126610LN identifies the current 41 mm Submariner Date in Oystersteel, with a black dial and black Cerachrom bezel insert. Rolex’s US product page gives the model’s specifications and displayed price. Rolex says the Submariner launched in 1953 and the Submariner Date was unveiled in 1969; that is the company’s own historical account, not an independent historical finding (Rolex Newsroom).
Specifications and what they mean in use
| Specification | 126610LN |
|---|---|
| Case | 41 mm Oystersteel; monobloc middle case, screw-down case back and Triplock screw-down crown (Rolex, product page). |
| Water resistance | 300 metres / 1,000 feet, Rolex’s manufacturer rating (Rolex, product page). |
| Bezel | Unidirectional, 60-minute graduated, with black Cerachrom ceramic insert and platinum-coated numerals and graduations (Rolex, product page). |
| Dial and crystal | Black dial with blue-luminescent Chromalight display; scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and Cyclops date magnifier (Rolex, product page). |
| Movement | Self-winding calibre 3235; hours, minutes and seconds; instantaneous date with rapid setting; stop-seconds; approximately 70-hour power reserve (Rolex, product page). |
| Accuracy claim | −2/+2 seconds per day after casing; Rolex identifies the watch as a Superlative Chronometer (Rolex, product page). |
| Bracelet and adjustment | Three-piece solid-link Oyster bracelet, Oysterlock safety clasp and Glidelock extension system; ten notches of approximately 2 mm provide about 20 mm of adjustment (Rolex, product page; Rolex Newsroom). |
Bezel, water rating and daily timing
The bezel’s 60-minute scale is designed to track elapsed time, and its unidirectional operation is a diver-oriented safety feature: if it is moved accidentally, it will indicate more elapsed time rather than less. Its grip and marked scale also make it useful for everyday timing. The 300 m / 1,000 ft figure is Rolex’s rating, not a guarantee for a particular watch in every condition. Before water use, ensure the crown is secured and follow Rolex’s care and service guidance; water resistance depends on the condition of the watch’s seals.
Movement and bracelet adjustment
Calibre 3235 supplies the date function and approximately 70 hours of power reserve according to Rolex. The Glidelock system lets the wearer adjust bracelet length in small increments without removing links, which can help accommodate changes in fit or a wetsuit. Rolex’s stated range is about 20 mm across ten approximately 2 mm notches; it is not a substitute for sizing the bracelet correctly.

126610LN versus the no-date Submariner 124060
The no-date alternative is reference 124060. Rolex identifies the no-date Submariner’s movement as calibre 3230 and the Submariner Date’s as calibre 3235; the models do not share the same calibre (Rolex Newsroom).
| Comparison | Submariner Date 126610LN | Submariner 124060 |
|---|---|---|
| Date display | Date at 3 o’clock with Cyclops magnifier. | No date display. |
| Movement | Calibre 3235. | Calibre 3230. |
| Dial character | Date and magnifier add a practical calendar display but make the dial less symmetrical. | Cleaner, more symmetrical dial without the date aperture or Cyclops. |
| US price | $11,350 displayed by Rolex on October 3, 2026 (Rolex US product page). | not stated (Rolex Newsroom, model comparison source). |
The choice is primarily whether you want a date. The date is useful if you regularly check the calendar on your watch; the no-date dial may appeal if visual symmetry matters more. That preference is personal, rather than a measurable performance advantage.

How does the 41 mm Submariner Date wear?
A 41 mm case measurement alone cannot establish how a watch will fit a particular wrist. In a review first published and updated July 10, 2026, Watchology reported that the 126610LN wore more compactly than its diameter might suggest and praised the bracelet and Glidelock adjustment (Watchology review). Those are that reviewer’s observations, not a firsthand assessment or wrist measurement for this article. If fit is decisive, try the watch on at an Official Rolex Jeweler and assess how the case and bracelet feel on your own wrist.

Rolex’s US product page displayed $11,350 USD on October 3, 2026. Listed prices can change, taxes may apply, and the page does not establish local stock or a final transaction price. Confirm the current price and availability with an Official Rolex Jeweler; Rolex says only Official Rolex Jewelers are allowed to sell and maintain its watches (Rolex US product page). The evidence cited here does not establish a current wait time or a market-wide secondary-market price, so neither should be assumed from a single retailer or reviewer’s account.
