It shows the watches, bands and included wireless charging puck, but it is a marketing presentation—not an independent review or a source of major new specifications. The clearest practical difference between the two models is the Classic’s physical rotating bezel and stainless-steel case.
What Samsung’s unboxing video shows
The nearly two-minute video presents the retail packaging, both watch designs, band options and promotional shots of selected features. It gives viewers a look at the physical products and how Samsung positioned the standard Watch6 alongside the returning Classic. The video was reported on August 9, 2023; Samsung had announced the watches at Galaxy Unpacked on July 26.
Android Headlines’ report on the video describes what appears in the footage. Treat the feature shots as promotion: they do not establish real-world comfort, sensor accuracy, durability or battery life.
What comes in the box?
The contemporary report identifies the watch, its band and a wireless charging puck. That supports saying a charger is included in the reported retail presentation, but it does not establish that every regional or retailer package has identical contents. The evidence does not confirm a wall power adapter, spare band, screen protector or LTE activation kit, so do not assume those are included.

- Rotating Bezel Design: Classic rotating bezel enables precise control and smooth navigation.
Galaxy Watch6 vs. Watch6 Classic
Both models share the core platform, display pairings and many features. The standard Watch6 uses an aluminum case and touch-based bezel interaction; the Classic uses stainless steel and adds a physical rotating bezel for tactile navigation.
| Feature | Galaxy Watch6 | Galaxy Watch6 Classic |
|---|---|---|
| Case sizes | 40mm and 44mm | 43mm and 47mm |
| Case material | Aluminum | Stainless steel |
| Colors listed at launch | Graphite, silver and gold options, depending on size and market | Black and silver |
| Bezel | Touch-based interaction; no physical rotating bezel | Physical rotating bezel |
| Weight | 28.7g (40mm); 33.3g (44mm) | 52g (43mm); 59g (47mm) |
| Display | 1.3-inch, 432 × 432 (40mm); 1.5-inch, 480 × 480 (44mm) | 1.3-inch, 432 × 432 (43mm); 1.5-inch, 480 × 480 (47mm) |
Weights and launch specifications are from Samsung’s Galaxy Watch6 launch announcement. The Classic’s bezel and larger, heavier case make it the more traditional-looking option; the standard model is the lighter choice.

Specifications behind the promotional shots
The video is not the best source for technical details. Samsung’s launch specifications list the following shared platform and claims for the Watch6 and Watch6 Classic:
- Processor and memory: Exynos W930 dual-core processor at 1.4GHz, with 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage.
- Glass: Sapphire crystal cover glass.
- Battery capacities: 300mAh in the smaller case sizes and 425mAh in the larger ones.
- Battery estimate: Samsung says up to 40 hours with the always-on display off, or up to 30 hours with it on. Those are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed runtimes; LTE, GPS, workouts, brightness, notifications and sensor use can reduce battery life.
- Launch software: Wear OS 4 with One UI 5 Watch.
- Durability ratings: 5ATM, IP68 and MIL-STD-810H, as stated by Samsung.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS, with LTE available on LTE versions.
Samsung also highlighted Sleep Coaching, heart-rate monitoring and irregular heart-rate notifications, body-composition measurement, temperature-based cycle tracking, GPS route tracking, fall detection, workout tracking and Samsung Health integration. These are health and fitness functions, not a blanket promise of medical diagnosis: feature availability can depend on country, regulatory approval, software, paired phone and Samsung Health Monitor support. Original US prices—and what they do not tell you
These are historical US MSRP figures, not current offers. Samsung’s launch announcement listed the 47mm Watch6 Classic from $429.99. A later Samsung US MSRP sheet lists these standard prices for the following configurations:
| Configuration | Historical US MSRP |
|---|---|
| Galaxy Watch6 Bluetooth, 40mm | $299.99 |
| Galaxy Watch6 Classic Bluetooth, 43mm | $399.99 |
| Galaxy Watch6 Classic Bluetooth, 47mm | $429.99 |
| Galaxy Watch6 Classic LTE, 43mm | $449.99 |
| Galaxy Watch6 Classic LTE, 47mm | $479.99 |
The values above come from Samsung’s December 2024 US wearables MSRP sheet; the launch price is also in Samsung’s announcement. MSRP is not a reliable guide to current stock or street price. Samsung’s March 2025 MSRP documentation marked the Classic variants end-of-life.

Compatibility and LTE considerations
Samsung lists Android 10 or later and a compatible Android phone with more than 1.5GB of memory among the compatibility requirements. The Watch6 is not an iPhone-compatible choice. Some functions may be limited when paired with a non-Samsung Android phone, and health features may require Samsung Health Monitor, regional authorization, account setup and suitable app software.
LTE is a hardware option, not automatic mobile service. Standalone cellular connectivity applies to LTE versions and requires a compatible carrier and plan. Samsung describes the distinction on its US watches page.
Best Value
- Smart watch with Wear OS by Samsung, Made of aluminum in Gold color Frame (Cream Band).
- Offers Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz, GPS and NFC. Ultra-durable sapphire crystal glass makes for a resilient and sturdy watch display, while IP68 and 5ATM ratings mean your watch is tough enough to stay with you on your adventures.

- Sync your Galaxy Watch with your Galaxy smartphone, Tab, and Buds for a completely connected experience.
Does the Galaxy Watch6 make sense to buy in 2026?
The Watch6 is a 2023 generation, and Samsung’s current US watch catalog promotes newer families. Availability and prices for the older models can vary; do not treat the original MSRP as a current deal or assume a new unit is in stock.
- Consider the Watch6 if you want a lighter aluminum watch and can find a discounted or refurbished unit at a price that makes sense versus newer models.
- Consider the Watch6 Classic if the physical rotating bezel and stainless-steel styling are priorities, and you are comfortable with the additional weight.
- Favor a newer model if prices are close, or if current hardware, health features, warranty and longer-term software expectations matter more than the Classic’s bezel.
For a used or refurbished watch, check the seller’s warranty and return terms, the battery’s condition and whether the exact size and Bluetooth/LTE configuration meet your needs. For LTE, confirm carrier support before purchase.
