The Credor Eichi II pairs a hand-wound Spring Drive movement with a hand-finished porcelain dial and a notably restrained three-hand layout. The best-documented current reference, GBLT999, has a 39 mm platinum case, approximately 60 hours of power reserve and a power-reserve indicator on the movement side. This is a reference-based profile, not a first-person wear review.
What the Eichi II is
Credor says the Eichi II debuted in 2014 to mark the brand’s 40th anniversary and Spring Drive’s 15th. It is made at the Micro Artist Studio at Seiko Epson’s Shiojiri facility. The GBLT999 is the platinum, white-dial reference described in detail on Credor’s official product page; Eichi II is also a family of variants, not a single unchanging specification.
For GBLT999, Credor specifies a 950 platinum case, crocodile leather strap and platinum folding clasp. The case measures 39.0 mm in diameter, 10.3 mm thick and 45.0 mm lug-to-lug; the band width is 19 mm. It has a see-through caseback, 41 jewels and magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or test results.
Why the dial is so spare
The GBLT999’s white porcelain dial has three hands and no visible power-reserve scale. Credor says its watchmakers hand-paint all 12 hour markers and the logo; the porcelain is inspired by the snowy landscape of Japan’s Shinshu region. The reserve indicator is instead on the back, allowing the dial to remain focused on time display. The movement can be viewed through the sapphire caseback.

Credor describes the movement as assembled and adjusted by hand, with hand-polished bridge rims and jewel holes. It also says the blue hands on the two white-dial Eichi II creations are made through a process of more than 20 steps and tempered individually. These are the maker’s descriptions of its craft, rather than observations from a hands-on inspection.
What the 7R14 Spring Drive does
Caliber 7R14 is manually wound and mainspring powered, with electronic regulation. Credor and the 7R14 manual describe the seconds hand as moving in a continuous sweep. The maker specifies accuracy of ±15 seconds per month, also expressed as ±1 second per day, and approximately 60 hours of reserve. These figures are manufacturer specifications, not results from an independent timing test.

- Seiko 5 Automatic Black Arabic Dial Men's Watch SNKP21J1
Credor attributes the reserve to the Torque Return System. In its explanation, the system recovers energy that would otherwise go unused when mainspring torque is high and uses it to rewind the mainspring. Credor says the system operates for 35 hours after a full wind and contributes to a reserve of around 60 hours.
Winding and checking the reserve
- Before taking the watch off, check the power-reserve indicator on the movement side.
- If needed, wind it manually until the indicator shows a full-wound state, as directed in the 7R14 manual.
- At a full wind, the manual gives an approximate running duration of 60 hours; at a half wind, it gives around 24 hours.
Eichi II references are not interchangeable
The platinum GBLT999 specifications should not be carried over to other Eichi II references. Seiko’s releases document distinct case metals, dial treatments and historical pricing:

| GBLT999 | Platinum 950 case; white porcelain dial. The dimensions and technical specifications above are for this reference. | Current price, stock and market value are not established by Credor’s cited product specification. |
| GBLT996 | 18K yellow-gold case and clasp; deep-blue ruri porcelain dial with hand-painted elements and gold application. | Seiko’s 25 April 2024 announcement described a limited edition of 30 and an approximate European recommended retail price of €48,000 at publication. Seiko said pricing and specifications could change. |
| GBLT998 | Rose-gold case; white porcelain dial. | Seiko’s March 2018 release gave a Japan recommended retail price of ¥4,300,000 excluding tax at that time. This is historical pricing, not a current quote. |
The GBLT996 details and dated European price appear in Seiko’s 2024 anniversary-edition announcement. The GBLT998 price is recorded in Seiko’s 2018 release. Neither dated price establishes what an Eichi II costs today, and the European GBLT996 figure should not be treated as a price for the platinum GBLT999.
Water resistance, magnetism and service
Credor describes the GBLT999 as splash resistant. The 7R14 manual says it is not intended for scuba or saturation diving and warns against operating or pulling the crown while the watch is wet. It also cautions that magnetic exposure may make Spring Drive stop temporarily or gain or lose time, and advises keeping the watch away from magnetic objects.
