What is the Swatch 1984 Reloaded collection?
1984 Reloaded is a 2021 collection of later reissues, not a claim that these watches are the original 1984 models. Swatch presents the five watches as updated versions of designs associated with that year, with the collection using its BIOCERAMIC material. Swatch’s official collection page identifies the models and describes their design references.
Swatch Group Japan announced that the collection would launch in stores and through the official online store on October 7, 2021. That announcement is historical launch information and does not establish whether any model is currently in stock.

WHITE MEMPHIS
Swatch describes the original as a 1984 bestseller and a quintessential expression of the era, inspired by the Memphis design movement. The reissue carries that graphic, playful design reference forward.

GREY MEMPHIS
This model also draws on Memphis design. Swatch highlights its green and pink hands as a nod to the movement’s energy.
YELLOW RACER
Swatch says the design evokes high-powered vehicles, including race cars and helicopters. Its dial recalls a speedometer, giving this model the collection’s most overtly motion-inspired look.

CHRONO-TECH
The 1984 design used primary-color hands and was named with reference to chronos, the Greek word for time. Swatch says it counted hours, minutes and seconds. That description does not establish that it is a conventional chronograph, so the name alone should not be taken as a specification.
BLACK DIVERS
Inspired by scuba diving, BLACK DIVERS features glow-in-the-dark hands and holes in its strap that Swatch describes as functional references to the activity.

What BIOCERAMIC means here
In its 2021 launch announcement, Swatch Group Japan describes BIOCERAMIC as a mix of ceramic and bio-sourced plastic made from castor oil. The brand characterizes the material as lightweight and sturdy, with a soft-touch finish and scratch resistance. Those are Swatch’s claims: the cited announcement does not provide independent test methods or comparative results, so they should not be read as independently verified performance findings or proof of environmental superiority.
How to choose among the five
The clearest distinction is the inspiration behind each design. Choose between Memphis-influenced graphics, vehicle and speedometer imagery, primary-color simplicity, or scuba-diving cues. Fit is a separate consideration: Swatch’s collection page uses categories such as Gent and New Gent and gives diameters for some models, but the available specifications do not form a complete, consistently comparable size set for all five. Check the individual current listing for case dimensions before deciding based on wrist fit.

The October 2021 announcement does not confirm present-day stock, prices, or retailer status. Check Swatch’s official site or a retailer’s live listing for the exact model, seller, price and availability; a collection name or old launch announcement alone is not evidence that a watch can still be purchased.
