What the original MoonSwatch collection was trying to do

The collaboration is presented as a Swatch take on the OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch. That shared design reference explains the watches’ place in the Moonwatch story, but does not make a MoonSwatch an OMEGA watch or establish equivalent construction or performance.
Swatch’s collection page describes the MoonSwatch as made from Bioceramic and lists dedicated rubber straps with textured patterns, a Bioceramic loop and VELCRO closure. Refer to the official listing for the details of an individual model.

Bioceramic is central to Swatch’s description of the collection. It should not be taken as evidence that MoonSwatch case construction or finishing matches that of an OMEGA Speedmaster.

Mission on Earth variations
Swatch lists three non-limited Mission on Earth models inspired by natural phenomena seen from space:
- Mission on Earth – Polar Lights
- Mission on Earth – Lava
- Mission on Earth – Desert
Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold
Swatch describes Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold releases from 2025. This is a later collection family, distinct from the original 2022 watches.
Mission to the Moon 1969
Swatch says Mission to the Moon 1969 was available through an approved Electronic Swatch Timepiece Application (ESTA) in July 2026. For this edition, Swatch says the 18K Moonshine Gold used for the dial, hands, crown and pushers weighs 11 grams. These are details of that special release, not specifications for the standard Mission to the Moon or the other original models.
The stated July 2026 application window is historical. Check Swatch’s current regional listing for any present availability; do not assume the application route remains open.
Mission to the Sun – Solar Eclipse
Swatch says Mission to the Sun – Solar Eclipse was available only on August 12, 2026, and only in Spain, in connection with the total solar eclipse of that date. This was a date- and location-specific release, not a general claim of ongoing availability.
