The three 2024 Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission on Earth editions are Lava (SO33O100), Polar Lights (SO33L103) and Desert (SO33T103). They share the same quartz chronograph movement, dimensions and water resistance; their main differences are their colors and the natural phenomena behind their designs. This trio is distinct from Swatch’s earlier green Mission on Earth, reference SO33G100.

Swatch presents the three watches as non-limited editions inspired by natural phenomena seen from space. They are a 2024 trio, not three color variants of the earlier green Mission on Earth SO33G100. [Swatch Lava product page] [Swatch MoonSwatch collection]
What they share: movement, size and materials
All three are quartz chronographs. Swatch lists the same case measurements and water resistance for each model:
- Case diameter: 42.00 mm
- Case thickness: 13.25 mm
- Lug-to-lug: 47.30 mm
- Water resistance: 3 bar
- Crystal: box-shaped glass made from biosourced material, with an anti-scratch coating
Swatch describes Bioceramic as a blend of two-thirds ceramic and one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil. That is the manufacturer’s description of its material. All three have a VELCRO strap that Swatch describes as suitable for spacesuits, Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indexes, a mission statement on the caseback, and OMEGA x Swatch marks on the dial and crown. The OMEGA x Swatch collaboration uses Moonwatch-inspired design elements, but these are quartz Swatch watches—not mechanical OMEGA Speedmasters. Swatch’s launch announcement describes the trio and its shared specifications. [Swatch launch announcement, June 11, 2024]
Launch timing and where to check availability
Swatch announced the watches on June 11, 2024, and said they would be available starting Saturday, June 15, in selected Swatch stores. The launch announcement also set a limit of one watch per person, per day, per store. Those were launch-era terms, not confirmation of current stock or current store rules.
