The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport Twin-Time (ref. CBU2084.FT6297) pairs a second-time-zone display with a chronograph in a 44 mm titanium case. Its appeal also rests on a distinctive construction detail: TAG Heuer says its two-color ceramic bezel is made from a single block, a first for the Maison. The result is a technically dense, openworked Carrera—not simply a watch for tracking another time zone.
What the Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport Twin-Time does
TAG Heuer lists the CBU2084.FT6297 as an automatic GMT chronograph powered by the in-house TH20-02. Its functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, GMT and a chronograph. The chronograph has a 1/4-second indication, a 15-minute counter and a 12-hour counter. TAG Heuer’s US product page specifies an 80-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).
TAG Heuer describes the red-tipped GMT hand as the indicator for a second time zone. The brand’s October 14, 2025 Official Magazine article calls it a way to track a second time zone; the product information confirms the GMT function but does not provide a separate operating guide. The chronograph is an additional timing function, not another way to read a time zone.
Why the bezel is more than a color accent
The bezel is fixed, ceramic and marked with a 24-hour scale. TAG Heuer says its two-color ceramic is crafted from a single block of dual-colored ceramic, calling the construction “a first for the Maison.” That is the brand’s claim, rather than an independently established industry-wide first. The bezel’s 24-hour scale and the GMT hand give the watch its second-time-zone display, while the two-tone execution makes the bezel a central design feature.

Case, dial and wear details
The case measures 44 mm and is made from grade 2 titanium, with fine-brushed and sand-blasted finishing. TAG Heuer rates water resistance at 100 m. The openworked dial has a black flange outlined in teal green, red and teal lacquered hands, and an openworked date display at 6 o’clock. The integrated green rubber strap is paired with a grade 2 titanium double-security folding clasp. A sapphire and titanium caseback completes the construction.
The color story is deliberate: TAG Heuer’s magazine article describes teal green as a signature repeated across the dial, date and strap. That brand framing helps explain why the watch’s visual identity is more specific than the red GMT hand or the bezel alone.

How it compares with a simpler Carrera Twin-Time
The older Carrera Twin-Time WBN201A.BA0640 is a useful reference point for the difference in function and format, not a direct equivalent. TAG Heuer’s UK page describes it as a 41 mm steel model with Calibre 7 Automatic, GMT and date, and a 42-hour power reserve; the page marks it discontinued. The newer CBU2084.FT6297 adds a chronograph and uses a larger titanium case and a different movement.
