TAG Heuer introduced the pink Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde in 2023, not 2026. The current US listing identifies it as reference WBN2340.FC8329: a 36 mm automatic Carrera Date in polished 18K white gold, distinguished by a 1.3-carat pink lab-grown diamond crown.
What the Carrera Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde is
The watch combines a familiar Carrera Date format with lab-grown diamonds as its defining design feature. TAG Heuer’s current US product page calls it the Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde and lists reference WBN2340.FC8329. It has a 36 mm polished 18K white-gold case, a fixed bezel, sapphire caseback, and black alligator strap with a pin buckle.

TAG Heuer’s official magazine placed the introduction in the Carrera’s 60th-anniversary year. Its March 27, 2023 article described a limited number of pieces and planned availability by order through TAG Heuer stores worldwide at the end of that year. That was the original launch plan, not confirmation of current stock.

These are specifications published by TAG Heuer, rather than independently measured results. TAG Heuer’s US page lists a 42-hour power reserve. An older indexed Hong Kong listing for the same reference gives 50 hours, so the figures should not be blended; buyers in other markets should check their current local listing.

Where the lab-grown diamonds appear
The dial is made from polycrystalline lab-grown diamond, with 12 baguette-cut lab-grown diamond indexes. The pink crown is the visual focal point: TAG Heuer describes it as a 1.3-carat fancy light pink lab-grown diamond. The brand also describes a pink TAG Heuer shield set with a 0.1-carat lab-grown diamond.
TAG Heuer’s product description gives 2.9 carats for the dial and 0.5 carats across the 12 baguette indexes. Its specification table separately lists 3.544 carats and 14 diamonds for the dial, and 1.300 carats and one diamond for the case. Those are differently presented fields on the same product page; the figures should be read as published rather than combined into a single inferred total.

How TAG Heuer says its Plasma process works
TAG Heuer says it grows diamond from seeds in a controlled vacuum chamber, exposing them to plasma generated from specific gases. The resulting diamonds are then laser-cut and polished. In a 2024 company explainer, TAG Heuer identifies Plasma technology as chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and says laboratory control allows designers to influence diamond shape and color.
This is the maker’s account of its proprietary production process. TAG Heuer also calls the fancy light pink lab-grown diamonds an “industry first”; that wording is the company’s claim, not an independently established industry-wide finding.

Price, ordering, and availability
The current US product page does not publish a retail price. It states “Price on demand” and directs interested buyers to request information from an advisor. The 2023 launch article’s end-of-year, made-to-order availability describes the original plan; it does not establish present inventory. Check TAG Heuer’s current local listing for price, availability, and applicable warranty terms.
TAG Heuer’s current international collection includes pink and yellow Carrera Date Plasma options, and the brand introduced a yellow-diamond version in 2024. The pink and yellow editions are best compared by their individually listed stone colors and reference-specific specifications; their price, movement, and availability should not be assumed to match.
