The Bugatti Baby II Tourbillon Edition is a fully electric, 75% scale recreation of the 1924 Type 35, restyled with cues from Bugatti’s Tourbillon hypercar. It is a hand-built, driveable collectible rather than a static display model. Bugatti says Hedley Studios’ artisans in Oxfordshire spent more than 200 hours crafting the edition. The official Bugatti Store currently lists the Baby II at £87,500, but price and availability can change.
What is the Bugatti Baby II Tourbillon Edition?
The Baby II is an official Bugatti electric miniature based on the Type 35, the marque’s celebrated Grand Prix car. Bugatti says the Baby II was developed from a full 3D scan of an original 1924 French Grand Prix car and built at 75% scale. The Tourbillon Edition applies styling inspired by the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar to that driveable Type 35 recreation.
The idea has roots in Bugatti family history. According to Bugatti’s Baby II site, Ettore Bugatti and his son Jean decided in 1926 to make a half-scale Type 35 for Roland’s fourth birthday. Bugatti says the replica was later sold as an official vehicle from 1927 to 1936. The company also credits the full-size Type 35 with more than 1,000 race wins and a peak average of fourteen races per week; those are Bugatti’s historical figures, not independently verified tallies.
How the Tourbillon design changes the Baby II
Bugatti’s 24 September 2024 release describes the edition as drawing on the Tourbillon launch car’s dark and light Aerolithe exterior palette, its distinctive C-shaped sweep, and light Aerolithe leather upholstery. Those details translate the hypercar’s visual identity to the smaller Type 35 form rather than turning the Baby II into a miniature Tourbillon.

Bugatti describes the work as “Hand-built by the Hedley Studios artisans at their home in Oxfordshire, UK.” The company reports more than 200 hours of craftsmanship for the edition. That is Bugatti’s stated production figure, not an independently timed measurement.
Price, variants and availability
The official Bugatti Store listing currently shows a price of £87,500 and says the broader Baby II run is limited to 500 models. That production figure applies to the Baby II run; it does not establish that 500 Tourbillon Editions will be made. The listing says stock units may be available for immediate delivery by contacting customer care, while availability is by enquiry and may change. Check the official Bugatti Store listing for the current price, configuration and stock status.

The currently displayed £87,500 is the store’s listing price; confirm whether it applies to the exact Tourbillon Edition configuration and territory you are considering. The public listing does not detail edition-specific battery options, so it is not possible to compare packs on the available product information.
How fast does it go, and how far can it travel?
Bugatti’s current store listing gives a maximum speed of up to 68 km/h, depending on territory, and a range of up to 100 km. These are listing figures for the Baby II rather than a published guarantee for every Tourbillon Edition configuration. A 5 October 2024 Monochrome Watches article reported speeds ranging from 40 to 68 km/h depending on battery and driving mode, and said US and Canadian versions were limited to 30 km/h. Because the store’s current page does not confirm those edition-specific details, buyers should ask Bugatti for the specification and legal speed limit applicable to their destination.

What specifications are confirmed for the general Baby II?
Bugatti’s official Baby II site publishes general model specifications of 10 kW power, a 2.8 kWh battery, 260 kg weight, three driving modes—Novice, Expert and Speed Key—and an estimated 4–6 hour charge time. These are general Baby II specifications; the available listing does not confirm that every figure applies unchanged to the Tourbillon Edition.
Dimensions also need care: Monochrome Watches reported 2.76 m long, 1.05 m wide and 0.8 m high for the edition, while Bugatti’s general Baby II site lists 2.76 m by 0.99 m by 0.78 m. The sources do not establish whether the difference reflects an edition-specific body or a measurement variation, so confirm dimensions for the particular car with Bugatti.

Is it a real car or a scale model?
It is both a scaled recreation and a vehicle designed to be driven: an electric 75% scale Type 35, not a full-size road car. Its hand-built construction, bespoke styling and ability to move under electric power make it a driveable luxury collectible. The cited sources do not establish road registration or public-road legality; buyers should confirm local rules and intended-use restrictions directly with Bugatti before purchase.
