A January 2023 recap by Bangalore Watch Company adds that aviation, cricket, collaboration choices, and customer feedback were part of the conversation. Since that recap is the company’s account of the episode, it should be read as a later summary rather than a verbatim record.
How does the company turn stories into watch design?
In the 2024 interview, Joshi described design as beginning with a story and taking months to translate into details on a watch. He used two examples: he said the MACH 1 crown is shaped like an afterburner nozzle, and that Apogee dials carry the latitude and longitude of Sriharikota. These are Joshi’s explanations of the design choices, not independently verified production specifications.

The company’s brand story frames its work around contemporary Indian narratives rather than relying only on familiar or exoticized imagery. Aviation and cricket are among the subjects it names. A company recap published in May 2025 also identifies the MACH 1 pilot watch, the cricket-inspired Cover Drive, and the Peninsula Professional collection as examples of its range at that time. Product availability can change, so those names should not be treated as confirmation that each collection remains on sale today.
What scale has the company reported?
In the March 2024 Business Today interview, Joshi reported that the company produced about 1,000 watches annually, that 25% of its customers were overseas, and that it had shipped to more than 30 countries since 2018. These are company-reported figures attributed to Joshi at the time of that interview; they are not audited metrics or current operating totals.
