He reports a 42 mm case, 49 mm lug-to-lug span and 189 g weight on the bracelet. His water use was limited to a pool, shallow snorkeling and paddleboarding—not scuba diving or a test at depth.
How the Cristallo wore on holiday
Sergeant describes the Cristallo as a large, weighty watch rather than an easy-to-ignore daily companion. His measurements are 42 mm across, 49 mm from lug to lug and 14 mm thick. He recorded 189 g on the bracelet and 105 g for the watch head alone. Those figures give a more useful sense of wrist presence than diameter by itself: the 49 mm span and substantial bracelet mass are especially relevant if you prefer compact or lightweight watches.
He wore it during an October trip to Cyprus, including around a pool, while snorkeling in shallow water and while paddleboarding. He did not scuba dive with it, and his account is not a meaningful-depth water-resistance test. He reports no notable damage from that light use, which is an anecdote rather than a controlled durability assessment.
Case, bezel and the diver’s scale
Sergeant reports a 500 m water-resistance rating, a helium-escape valve and a 120-click unidirectional ceramic bezel. These are specifications described in the review, not independently verified test results. The bezel’s lumed markings are for no-decompression limits rather than the familiar elapsed-time scale found on many dive watches.

That distinction affects who may find the watch’s bezel useful. The no-decompression information is aimed at divers; for everyday timing, it does not provide the usual direct elapsed-minute readout. Sergeant personally would have preferred a dual scale that also tracked elapsed time. That is a preference, not a defect in the intended scale.
Dial and movement details
The review describes a blue-to-black gradient dial. Sergeant likens its color treatment to the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller, while noting that the resemblance largely stops at dial color and the stainless-steel dive-watch format.

The Cristallo has a small-seconds display and a dial-side power-reserve indicator. In Sergeant’s account, its automatic Sellita SW279 beats at 4 Hz, has a 41-hour power reserve and supports hacking, which stops the seconds hand when setting the time. As a holiday-watch account, Sergeant’s review is most useful for its practical impression of size, weight and the unusual no-decompression bezel, alongside the stated specifications. It should not be read as evidence that the watch was tested for scuba diving or at its rated depth.
