This review focuses on the ice-blue 40mm T137.407.11.351.00, using Tissot’s published specifications rather than independent testing.
What this review covers
The PRX is a family, not one single specification. The example reviewed here is Tissot’s 40mm ice-blue Powermatic 80, reference T137.407.11.351.00, listed on Tissot’s US site. Its measurements and displayed price should not be assumed to apply to other dial or case finishes. Tissot describes the PRX as a contemporary watch using a case shape dating to 1978; that history is the brand’s description of the design.

How does the Powermatic 80 movement affect ownership?
Tissot rates the automatic Powermatic 80 at an 80-hour power reserve. In practical terms, that is the manufacturer’s stated interval the watch can run when fully wound and left unworn; it is not a promise of a measured result for every example. No independent accuracy or reserve test is available for this review, so it cannot establish how closely a particular watch keeps time or whether it reaches the full stated reserve.

- Stainless steel strap/bracelet, interchangeable quick release bracelet, butterfly clasp with push-buttons closure
- Water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m / 330 ft)

The Nivachron balance spring is another listed movement feature. The product specification identifies it, but does not by itself establish a measured performance advantage in daily wear. Buyers comparing watches should treat the reserve and movement materials as manufacturer specifications, not as substitutes for independent testing.
What size Tissot PRX should you get?
The 40mm reference measures 40mm across, 39.5mm long and 10.93mm thick. Those numbers give a more useful starting point than diameter alone, but they cannot settle how an integrated-bracelet watch will sit on a particular wrist. If possible, try both the 35mm and 40mm versions on; this review does not have verified measurements for the 35mm model and cannot make a complete dimensional comparison.

Consider wrist presence alongside the dial and finish. A size that seems modest by diameter can still look prominent depending on the case shape, bracelet and how the watch meets the wrist. Bracelet sizing and comfort are personal fit questions rather than outcomes that can be established from Tissot’s specifications.
Crystal, water resistance and strap options
For reference T137.407.11.351.00, Tissot lists a sapphire crystal with antireflective coating, a transparent caseback and water resistance of 100m/10 bar. Those are the brand’s specifications for this reference. A water-resistance rating is not a blanket description of every use condition, and this page does not provide activity-specific testing; check Tissot’s guidance for the exact watch and intended use.

Tissot identifies the bracelet as interchangeable with a quick-release system and shows compatible options on the product page. That supports considering a brand-listed alternate strap, but it does not establish that any third-party strap will fit. Verify size and compatibility for the precise reference before buying an accessory.
Price and warranty depend on the reference
On October 4, 2026, Tissot’s US listing for the ice-blue T137.407.11.351.00 displayed a price of $775 and a two-year warranty. This is a volatile manufacturer-listed US price, not a guaranteed street price. A different 40mm PRX Powermatic 80 reference, T137.407.33.041.00, displayed $850 on its Tissot US product page on the same retrieval date. That variant-specific difference is why a single price should not be applied to the whole family.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 worth it?
On paper, the cited 40mm model combines an automatic movement with a stated 80-hour reserve, a sapphire crystal, a see-through back, a quick-release bracelet and a 100m/10 bar rating. Whether that package is worth its current asking price depends on fit, preferred finish and how much weight you place on these specifications. There is no independent performance or long-term wear evidence here to support a claim that it outperforms alternatives.

The clearest way to make the decision is to compare exact references rather than the family name: choose a size you can wear comfortably, confirm the dial and case finish, compare the current price and warranty, and verify the bracelet or strap arrangement. Tissot’s page describes the PRX as a design in a case shape from 1978; it also calls the watch a “must-have” in its own product copy, which is brand language rather than an independent assessment. Tissot’s PRX collection page is a starting point for checking available variants.
