The Tissot Seastar 1000 36mm is a Swiss quartz dive-style watch with a manufacturer-listed 300 m water-resistance rating. This guide focuses on the black-dial stainless-steel bracelet reference T120.210.11.051.00: Tissot lists it at 36 mm across, 9.67 mm thick and 114 g. Those specifications make it a compact option on paper, but they cannot tell you how the watch feels or performs on your wrist.
Which Seastar 1000 36mm is this?
“Seastar 1000 36mm” refers to a family of finishes, not one exact watch. The primary reference here is T120.210.11.051.00, with a black dial and grey stainless-steel bracelet. Tissot also lists a blue-dial steel-bracelet version, T120.210.11.041.00. Check the full reference on the watch or listing before comparing prices or specifications; other dial and bracelet finishes are available. Tissot’s US listing for the black-dial reference is the source for the specifications below.

What does the 300 m rating mean?
Tissot lists the watch as water-resistant to 30 bar, also expressed as 300 m or 1,000 ft. This is the manufacturer’s rating, not an independent test of a particular watch or a guarantee that a used unit remains water-resistant. Crown position, seals, impact and maintenance can affect a watch’s condition; check its condition and have it assessed if its water resistance matters for your use.

Tissot says, “All Tissot watch cases undergo several tests, including a water resistance check.” That general statement describes the company’s case-testing process; it does not establish the present condition of an individual watch or specify the test protocol. Tissot’s watch information provides the manufacturer’s explanation.
How might the size and weight wear?
At 36 mm in diameter and 9.67 mm thick, the listed case dimensions are compact relative to many dive-style watches. The 114 g listed weight gives a useful sense of the complete steel-bracelet watch, but wrist shape, bracelet fit and personal preference determine how it actually wears. Dimensions alone cannot establish comfort, visual presence or suitability for a particular wrist; try the exact reference on if possible.

- These timepieces are perfect for those in search of a sporty yet assertive accessory, offering water resistance up to 1000 feet (300 meters) and improved visibility in dim conditions thanks to the Super-LumiNova coated hands and hour markers.
The product specifications also cannot answer questions about dial legibility in changing light, bezel grip or alignment, bracelet articulation, clasp adjustment, or long-term quartz accuracy. These are qualities to assess on the actual watch rather than infer from its feature list.
Can you change the bracelet or use another strap?
Tissot lists the bracelet as interchangeable and quick-release, and gives the watch an 18 mm lug width. It describes silicone strap choices in orange, white, light blue and black. A strap’s 18 mm width by itself does not guarantee a fit: check that its end attachment and quick-release arrangement suit the specific watch reference. Availability of particular straps can vary.

What to check before buying
- Confirm the reference. Match the full code, such as T120.210.11.051.00 for the black dial or T120.210.11.041.00 for the blue dial, to the product shown.
- Check fit in person if you can. The listed diameter, thickness and weight are helpful starting points, not a substitute for trying on the watch and adjusting the bracelet.
- Inspect condition on a used watch. Do not assume the original water-resistance rating still applies; ask about service and condition, particularly if you intend to expose it to water.
- Verify the price and terms for your region. Confirm the current listing, stock, warranty and exact finish rather than relying on an older or differently configured listing.
- Check any replacement strap at the attachment. Confirm reference-level fit and quick-release compatibility, not just the 18 mm width.
