“Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar Blue” usually refers to a blue-accented 47.5mm T-Touch Connect Solar, most often listed under reference T121.420.47.051.06. That “Blue” name is commonly used by sellers, not clearly confirmed as the current official U.S. model name. Check the reference, photos, strap and seller’s description before buying: Tissot’s current U.S. pages list other Connect Solar references, including a black-strap version, rather than a clearly identified blue model.
This is a Swiss-made hybrid watch: it keeps analog hands and adds a low-power digital display, solar charging and selected phone-connected functions. It is not a general-purpose touchscreen smartwatch, and its 47.5mm case is substantial. The key questions are whether the exact blue reference is right, whether your phone is compatible, and whether you want a traditional watch with connected features rather than a full smartwatch.
What does “Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar Blue” mean?
The name points to the T-Touch Connect Solar family, but “Blue” is not a sufficiently precise model identifier. Chrono24 listings most consistently associate the blue version with reference T121.420.47.051.06. Treat that as the strongest identification lead, not proof that this reference is currently sold by Tissot in every market. Marketplace color names can describe a strap or accents rather than the dial, and listings may differ in condition and completeness. Chrono24’s listings use “Blue” for the reference, while Tissot’s current U.S. product pages use the broader T-Touch Connect Solar name.
Tissot’s U.S. listing for reference T121.420.47.051.00 is a useful family comparison, not confirmation of the blue reference: that .00 version has a black nitrile-rubber strap. Its specifications should not automatically be assumed to apply in every detail to .06. Confirm the exact reference and the actual finish with the seller. Tissot’s product page identifies the current U.S. .00 model.

How to verify a blue listing
- Ask for a clear photograph of the reference marking and compare it with the listing title; the commonly identified blue reference is T121.420.47.051.06.
- Check the actual dial, bezel, strap and accents in photographs. Do not infer the whole colorway from the word “Blue.”
- Confirm whether it is new, used, refurbished or old stock, and ask what accessories are included.
- Request serial and authenticity information, warranty terms, return conditions and the seller’s country. The current official U.S. catalogue does not clearly confirm .06 as a current U.S. model.
What kind of watch is it?
The Connect Solar is a hybrid rather than a conventional touchscreen smartwatch. Analog hands provide the familiar watch display; a low-power digital screen supplies menus and information. Users interact through tactile zones in the sapphire crystal, the crown and pushers. Solar charging is designed to extend operating time, while Bluetooth pairing adds notifications, incoming-call alerts, synchronization and app-based settings.
Tissot lists functions including time zones, automatic daylight saving time, perpetual calendar, alarms, timers, chronograph functions, step count, calories, distance, altimeter, barometer, temperature, weather trend, compass, azimuth, notifications, incoming calls, connection alerts, security lock, eco mode and automatic standby. The precise experience depends on the reference, settings and whether a phone is paired. Tissot’s .00 product listing provides the family feature list.
Specifications: what is confirmed, and for which reference?
The following measurements and specifications are listed by Tissot for the current U.S. T121.420.47.051.00, not independently confirmed here for the blue .06. Verify reference-specific details before relying on them for a blue listing.

How it works with and without a phone
Tissot’s manual says paired mode is required to access all T-Touch Connect Solar functions. Without a paired phone, the watch can still operate as a watch and provide built-in functions such as timing and navigation-related features, but do not assume every feature behaves identically in both modes. Notifications, incoming-call alerts, synchronization and app configuration depend on the phone connection or are enhanced by it. Check the manual for the particular function you plan to use. Tissot’s manual describes paired operation and watch functions.
Phone compatibility and initial setup
Tissot’s compatibility page specifies Android 9.0 or later, iOS 16 or later, and HarmonyOS 2.0 or later for supported Huawei devices. The page also names incompatible devices, including the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite international version, BlackBerry Key2 LE, Samsung A21S, Sony XZ3 and Caterpillar S60. Requirements and app availability can change, so check the current compatibility information for your phone and region before purchase. Country and language availability may also vary. Tissot’s compatibility information lists requirements and exclusions.

Pair the watch
- Install the official Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar application on a compatible phone.
- Press and hold the watch crown for about five seconds, until the MIP display lights up.
- Open the app and follow its connection instructions.
- When the watch shows “PAIR WITH PHONE?”, use the crown to select “YES.”
- Complete the pairing and permissions prompts in the app, then synchronize before relying on activity or notification data.
These steps follow Tissot’s setup manual.
If pairing fails
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled and keep the phone close to the watch.
- Allow the app the Bluetooth, notification and background permissions it requests; Android background restrictions can affect connection behavior.
- Restart the app and phone, and check whether the watch remains paired to another phone.
- Use the watch’s reconnection or pairing menu and consult Tissot’s connected-watch support resources if the connection still fails.
- Leave a factory reset until last. Tissot warns that unsynchronized data is deleted when factory settings are restored.
See Tissot’s system instructions for reset behavior and the connected-watch support page for manuals, FAQ, tutorials, warranty and service links.
Solar charging and realistic autonomy
The solar system uses light, especially sunlight, to recharge the watch’s accumulator. It is intended to extend operating time, not to make the watch immune to charging needs or future service. Tissot’s manual cautions against placing the watch within 20cm of a light source to force faster charging. How long it runs depends on light exposure, connection state, settings, usage and accumulator condition.

Size, comfort and water resistance
At 47.5mm wide and 15.3mm thick, this is a large, assertive sports watch. The 92g weight listed for the .00 is relatively modest for its size, but titanium does not make the watch small or slim. Try it on if your wrist is small or you usually prefer compact watches; the case dimensions will dominate its feel and appearance. The 23mm lug width can also narrow strap choices, and a nominally 23mm aftermarket strap may not match the case clearance, end shape or buckle. Confirm fit before ordering.
The .00 is listed with a titanium PVD-coated case, ceramic bezel and tactile sapphire crystal. Its 10-bar / 100m rating is a water-resistance specification, not a claim that the watch is waterproof in every circumstance or certified for professional diving. Keep the crown and pushers properly closed, follow Tissot’s care instructions, and remember that seals age and may need service. Do not operate controls underwater unless Tissot’s instructions expressly permit it. See Tissot’s product specifications and its care and support resources.

Tissot sells Connect Solar and Connect Sport as separate collections. They answer different preferences: the Solar keeps the traditional T-Touch analog-watch character and solar operation, while Sport is the more overtly sport-oriented connected line. Compare the exact reference and current feature list rather than assuming the Sport is a direct upgrade or that every feature is shared.

Price, availability and buying used
Tissot’s U.S. page showed $1,250 for the black-strap T121.420.47.051.00 when checked August 18, 2026. That is a current-family price signal, not the price of the blue .06. The blue reference appears in marketplace listings, where asking prices varied: examples included $830 plus $26 shipping and $1,189 plus $35 shipping. These are individual listing examples, not an appraisal or stable market value; condition, country, seller, completeness and shipping all affect the total. Chrono24 listings show the variation.
A marketplace blue watch may be the closest match to the desired color, but it brings condition, authenticity, warranty, import-cost, accumulator and compatibility questions. A new official family model offers a clearer support route but may not be blue. Connect Sport is another Tissot option for buyers open to a different design. Before paying for a blue listing, check the exact reference, serial and authenticity evidence, physical condition, charger and accessories, battery/solar behavior, pairing and reset status, phone compatibility, warranty geography and return policy. Tissot’s connected-watch support hub links to service resources.
Who should buy it?
It makes sense if
- You want analog hands and the construction and appearance of a conventional Swiss watch.
- You value solar operation and tactile compass, weather, altimeter and timing functions more than a bright smartwatch screen.
- Notifications and selected phone features are enough; a broad third-party app ecosystem is not your priority.
- You are comfortable wearing a 47.5mm watch and have verified your phone’s compatibility.
- You can confirm the blue reference and seller’s condition and return terms.
Look elsewhere if
- You want a compact or slim watch, a large bright display, extensive apps or frequent on-watch interaction.
- You need advanced GPS mapping, serious training analytics or medical and wellness functions comparable to dedicated smartwatches.
- You rely on guaranteed compatibility with every future phone or expect the same connected experience without a paired phone.
- You require a clearly documented blue model currently listed by Tissot in your market.
- A used blue listing costs nearly as much as a current official model and does not offer comparable warranty or return protection.
What the privacy and software claims mean
Swatch Group describes the watch as running its Swiss-developed Sw-ALPS operating system and highlights privacy protection, connected features, solar operation and tactile sapphire. Those are company descriptions, not an independent audit of privacy or a guarantee that the watch operates without phone software or connected services. Swatch Group’s overview provides its positioning.
