Tokyoflash proposed a watch that could display an alcohol-test reading in a 2011 design concept, then listed a related product, the Intoxicated Silicone Breathalyzer Watch. The product page describes a wearable breathalyzer, but Tokyoflash says it is for entertainment and does not warrant fully accurate or reliable results. Its reading should not be treated as a measure of impairment or a reason to drive.
Two different Tokyoflash watches: a concept and a listed product
The headline idea first appeared in Tokyoflash Japan Product Design Studio’s June 16, 2011 post, “How Drunk Are You? This LCD Watch Design Will Tell You!”. Tokyoflash called it “a new concept”; the post describes a proposed design, not proof that this exact watch went on sale.
A related but distinct item later appeared in Tokyoflash’s store as the Intoxicated Silicone Breathalyzer Watch. The product page describes a real watch with an integrated breathalyzer. It does not establish that the 2011 concept itself became a retail product.

- Press the alcohol button and wait for the sensor to warm up.
- Blow into the sensor for five seconds.
- Wait for the result to appear on the screen.
The manufacturer says the display uses ten alcohol-content levels. Its examples include green at 0.00‰, yellow at 0.41–0.60‰, and red at 0.61‰ or above. These are Tokyoflash’s display descriptions, not independently verified impairment thresholds or proof of a person’s legal blood alcohol status.
What the reading can—and cannot—tell you
Tokyoflash describes the watch as “designed for entertainment only” and says it does not warrant that breathalyzer results will be completely accurate or reliable. The company also says, “Please remember, do not drink and drive under any circumstance.” The product page does not establish that the watch is a validated instrument for measuring impairment, legal blood alcohol status, or fitness to drive.

Use the color display as a feature of the product, not as a safety decision tool. A reading from this watch cannot establish that it is safe or legal to drive. Do not drive after drinking; arrange a sober ride instead.
