The watch fair brought independent and established brands together, giving visitors a chance to see watches in person, compare designs, meet brands and encounter artisanal watchmaking.
What was the Toronto Timepiece Show?
It was a multi-brand watch fair where visitors could explore watches across a range of makers and styles. Its appeal was the opportunity to handle the subject matter directly: compare proportions and finishes at the display, speak with brand representatives, and discover makers whose work may be less familiar than that of established brands.
The Calibrated Wrist’s August 2026 preview described the planned scale as more than 85 brands from 14 countries across approximately 55,000 square feet. Those were preview figures, not audited final exhibitor or attendance totals. A post-event account by Watches Out Now, published September 30, described walking past 90 brands. An earlier preview from The Calibrated Wrist described a three-day schedule beginning Friday, September 25, with that day reserved for media, creators and VIP guests. It listed public hours as Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. These hours were announced in advance; the public dates above are the dates given by Farer’s listing. What stood out in the 2026 preview?
Independent and established brands side by side
The show’s format gave visitors a way to compare familiar production watches with work from independent brands and smaller makers. Seeing pieces together can make differences in case shape, dial treatment, finishing and overall design easier to assess than viewing isolated product images.

Artisanal Horology Exhibit Space
The preview highlighted a new Artisanal Horology Exhibit Space featuring five makers: Charles Simon, Bradley Taylor, J.N. Shapiro, Grönefeld and Beauregard. It was presented as an opportunity to see traditional finishing and small-scale artisanal watchmaking in person. Prestex’s announced show watches
Prestex said it planned to bring its Marcato Jumping Hour collection, with four dial options, alongside a broader selection from its lineup. The brand also said the watches would be available to order at the show. This describes Prestex’s own advance announcement, not independent confirmation of what was on display or ordered. Panels and community programming
The Calibrated Wrist’s preview announced four panel discussions for Saturday and a live taping of The Grey NATO, alongside hands-on access, collector meetups, brand presentations and community spaces. These details indicate that the planned event was not limited to browsing exhibitor tables; visitors could also engage with watch conversations and other collectors. The clearest confirmed reader-facing details are the public dates and Toronto venue listed by Farer, plus the distinct brand-count descriptions in the preview and post-event account. The preview also supplies the planned exhibit, programming and Prestex details, but these should remain identified as advance announcements where the post-event account does not verify them.
