What is the Trematic Ref. 502 Blue?
Its official product name is “Archivio Uno – ref. 502 – Blue.” Trematic presents the Archivio Uno as a revival of a historical design. The blue model pairs a two-tone pie-pan-style dial with applied markers and a light-brown vegan strap, according to the brand and a hands-on account by Time+Tide. The watch is a dress-oriented design rather than a tool watch: its slim profile and restrained dimensions are central to its appeal, while its 5 ATM rating should not be treated as a guarantee for every water activity.

Movement and day-to-day use
Trematic lists a Sellita SW 200-1 elaboré automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), with 26 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent measurements of accuracy or reserve. MasterHorologer’s March 31, 2025 article says the movement is regulated in-house; Trematic’s listed specification does not make that claim. Read the secondary account at MasterHorologer with that attribution in mind.
The 5 ATM water-resistance rating is the figure Trematic specifies. Time+Tide expresses it as 50 metres, but that rating alone does not establish suitability for a particular activity. Anyone planning regular water exposure should check Trematic’s current guidance and care instructions rather than infer a use guarantee from the number.

Dial, case and dimensions
Trematic describes the dial as domed and dual-tone, with a pie-pan layout, applied wedge-shaped markers and Arabic numerals. Time+Tide characterizes the blue as dark and matte, with a lighter centre and polished applied markers. Blue can look different across lighting and screens; consult several product images, and treat the visual description as an observer’s impression rather than a fixed color measurement.
The case is listed as polished 316L steel with brushed details. Trematic also specifies a screw-secured caseback, circular brushing on its exterior and perlage finishing inside. The domed sapphire crystal receives anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

The official 38 mm diameter excludes the crown, and the listed 9 mm thickness excludes the crystal. For a more complete thickness reference, Time+Tide reports 10.8 mm including the crystal. The 45.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement and 20 mm lug width help clarify proportions, but fit depends on wrist shape and preferred presence. Time+Tide shows the watch on an author’s 16.5 cm wrist; that single example cannot predict how it will wear on another wrist.
Strap options and compatibility
Trematic says the strap is made from vegan material derived from fruits and uses a quick-release system. Time+Tide describes the blue model with a light-brown strap and quick-release spring bars. The 20 mm lug width makes other 20 mm straps a possible option, but width alone does not ensure compatibility. Check the strap’s attachment, length and construction before ordering.

Price, delivery, warranty and returns
Trematic’s English listing displayed €930 and said orders would be delivered starting November 15, but the retrieved page did not identify the year for that date. The page states that watch shipping is free worldwide and that displayed prices include transportation, duties, taxes and VAT under DDP terms; it also says delivery time varies by destination. Check the live product page and destination-specific checkout details for current price, stock and timing.
Trematic’s product page states a five-year (60-month) international guarantee for malfunctions not related to improper use, excluding straps and bracelets. It also states a 15-day withdrawal period from receipt and asks buyers to contact the company before returning a watch. Returned goods must be unworn, in original condition and include original packaging. Historical background and what is not established
MasterHorologer’s March 31, 2025 article describes the Ref. 502 as a remake of a Trematic collection design produced in 1954, with styling inspired by the 1950s and 1960s. That lineage is attributed to the secondary article; the available product information does not independently establish it through a primary brand archive.
Neither the manufacturer’s specifications nor the cited hands-on coverage establishes independent test results for accuracy, long-term durability, water resistance or actual power reserve. The available information also does not provide a like-for-like competitor comparison, so a value judgment depends on how the watch’s dimensions, design, movement, terms and current price fit an individual buyer’s priorities.
