What the watch does
The Hourstriker Erotica Jarretiere is a self-winding watch in which the striking action and the dial figures are linked. According to the 2015 introduction, the calibre strikes the hours and half-hours automatically, and the engraved characters on the dial move as Jaquemarts while the striking takes place. The movement is reported as self-winding calibre UN 611 with a power reserve of 42 hours.
Because the figures move with the striking action, the watch is a single display with two functions rather than a striking watch with a separate decorative element. That link is the core of the engineering story, and it is also the part of the design most worth understanding before judging the watch on its look.

- Confirm: check the dial indicator, which shows whether the striking and automaton functions are engaged.
The report does not describe a separate control for the figures alone, so the striking and automaton functions should be read as engaged or disengaged together, as the indicator shows.
The Venetian dial
The dial is a glossy black onyx with a Venetian setting. The miniature backdrop is described as hand-painted in white and shows an exterior view of the Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal. The balcony and the two animated figures are engraved in solid gold.
The provocative subject is intentional. Brice Goulard, the author of the 2015 introduction, wrote: “It requires some audaciousness to be able to sport on your wrist a watch with an erotic scene.” That remark frames the watch as a deliberate statement, and buyers should consider how comfortable they are with that subject on the dial before the mechanism becomes the point of interest.
Editions and specifications
The launch coverage describes two versions. Both share the same case diameter, dial and strap, and differ mainly in metal and the colour of the engraved characters.

The edition counts describe the production announced in 2015. They do not indicate how many pieces remain unsold or in private hands today.
Price and availability
The 2015 launch report gives no numeric price, only “Price upon request.” A current retail price, secondary-market value and present availability are not established by that source, and we have not verified an active product page or dealer listing for either edition. Anyone considering a purchase should confirm stock and pricing directly with Ulysse Nardin or an authorised dealer, and should treat any resale figure as a separate market question rather than a current price.
