They are not extra time zones or chronograph registers: the manufacturer describes them as mechanical representations of distance traveled through Earth’s rotation and orbit around the Sun. URWERK’s May 12, 2026 release calls the blue version the collection’s final edition, limited to 25 watches.
How to read the UR-10 Spacemeter dial
The central hands show conventional hours and minutes. The three smaller displays give the watch its unusual purpose: they translate Earth’s movement into distance scales. The increments and scale conventions below are those specified by URWERK, not independently measured readings of the planet’s position.
EARTH at 2 o’clock
The EARTH counter represents distance associated with Earth’s daily rotation. One counter turn corresponds to 10 km, and the scale is graduated in 500 m increments.
SUN at 4 o’clock
The SUN counter represents Earth’s travel along its orbit around the Sun. One turn corresponds to 1,000 km, marked in 20 km increments.

ORBIT at 9 o’clock
ORBIT brings the two motions together on synchronized scales: 1,000 km of rotation and 64,000 km of revolution. The subdial is an astronomical distance display, not a conventional chronograph totalizer.
The layout can initially resemble a chronograph or calendar, but the labels and scales distinguish it: the watch’s three front counters are about the distance associated with Earth’s motion, while the center hands retain the ordinary timekeeping role. What the caseback shows
A peripheral hand travels around a 24-hour scale on the back. Engraved Rotation and Revolution markings are read in opposite directions: clockwise for rotation and counterclockwise for revolution. URWERK says the arrangement evokes Earth’s movement. The caseback display is therefore a second view of the concept, rather than another front-facing time-zone readout.
How the automatic movement and turbine work
The self-winding UR-10.01 calibre has a stated 43-hour power reserve and runs at 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. URWERK specifies a Swiss lever escapement and 44 jewels.

Its patented Dual Flow Turbine consists of two stacked propellers rotating in opposite directions. URWERK says airflow between the propellers slows the rotor and helps protect the mechanism when it spins at high speed. That is the manufacturer’s explanation of the system, not an independently tested performance claim. The technical specifications and mechanism description appear in URWERK’s May 12, 2026 release.
Case, bracelet, and water resistance
URWERK lists the case as 45.40 mm wide, 44 mm long, and 7.13 mm thick, with the thickness measured excluding the crystals. The case middle is sandblasted titanium, and the caseback is sandblasted steel. Glass-box sapphire crystals have glare-proofing treatment. The watch is paired with a sandblasted single-link titanium bracelet and folding clasp.

Water resistance is specified as 3 ATM / 30 m and described as pressure-tested. That rating is a specification, not a recommendation for swimming or other water activities.

The UR-10 launched in 2025 in black and grey PVD dial variants, according to Time and Watches’ October 15, 2025 launch coverage. WatchTime’s October 16, 2025 report described 25 pieces per original dial color.

In its May 12, 2026 announcement, URWERK named UR-10 SpaceMeter Blue the “FINAL EDITION,” limited it to 25 timepieces, and said it closes the “10” collection. The official model page also presents Blue, Dark, and Metal variations; it does not establish current stock or remaining production quantities for the earlier versions.
Price and where to enquire
Prices depend on edition, market, and tax basis, so the published figures are not interchangeable current quotes.
