How the digital display works
URWERK describes the Odyssey’s hours and minutes on satellite prisms: the hours jump, while the minutes trail across the indication. Digital seconds are shown on silicon, and a separate indicator reports the remaining power reserve. This layout makes the watch’s time display fundamentally different from a conventional set of hands.
The UR-112 collection page gives further details about the family’s display architecture, including a silicon skeletonized second wheel filled with SuperLuminova, a cardan axis and conical transmission with double 90-degree gears, satin-brushed aluminum prisms covered by SuperLuminova, and a double planetary system with four satellites each. Those are family-page descriptions; the page does not clearly identify every such component as Odyssey-specific.
