Vacheron Constantin’s Les Cabinotiers Temporis Duo Grand Complication Openface, reference 9750C/000R-215C, brings a split-seconds chronograph, a minute repeater and a tourbillon together in a unique, manually wound watch. Its transparent sapphire dial leaves much of the movement visible, making the watch as much a showcase of mechanism and finishing as a conventional timepiece.
What is the Temporis Duo Grand Complication?
It is a one-piece creation in Vacheron Constantin’s Les Cabinotiers collection, identified in 2025 coverage as the Temporis Duo Grand Complication Openface. The reference is 9750C/000R-215C. The watch’s defining feature is the combination of three demanding complications in one movement: a split-seconds chronograph, a minute repeater and a tourbillon.
Vacheron Constantin’s official video description says that a single-pusher split-seconds chronograph is paired with a minute repeater, while a tourbillon regulator with a spherical hairspring contributes visual appeal and stability. The combination makes the watch a demonstration of compact, coordinated movement construction rather than a standard production model.
What complications and functions does it have?
- Split-seconds chronograph: A rattrapante mechanism allows the wearer to time two events that begin together but finish separately. Its additional seconds hand can be stopped independently and then caught up with the running chronograph hand. The brand describes it as single-pusher operated.
- Minute repeater: A repeater chimes the time on demand. Its hammers and gongs are part of the mechanical movement rather than an electronic alarm.
- Tourbillon: The regulating assembly rotates in a cage. Vacheron Constantin’s video description specifies a spherical hairspring for this tourbillon regulator.
- Time and power indication: The watch also displays hours and minutes and includes a power-reserve indicator.
How does caliber 2757 S work?
The watch is powered by manually wound caliber 2757 S. SJX describes the movement as a repeater-and-tourbillon base with a separate chronograph layer above it. In that account, the chronograph is coupled to the tourbillon through a lateral clutch. This layered construction helps explain the openface presentation: the transparent dial reveals the chronograph mechanism rather than concealing it beneath a conventional opaque dial.

SJX describes an asymmetric three-register arrangement for time, elapsed minutes and tourbillon seconds. Together with the exposed mechanism, that layout makes the dial a view into the movement’s functions, not simply a flat surface for conventional hour markers.
Published technical figures are not consistent across the 2025 reports. Fratello gives 696 components, a 33 mm movement diameter, a 10.4 mm movement thickness, 3 Hz frequency and 50 hours of reserve with the chronograph running. SJX instead reports approximately 58 hours of reserve and a frequency of 2.5 Hz, or 18,000 beats per hour. Because those reserve and frequency figures conflict, neither should be treated as settled without confirmation from Vacheron Constantin’s technical specifications.

Case, dial and wear details
SJX reports a 45 mm case in 18-karat pink gold, measuring 16.4 mm thick. The watch has a transparent sapphire dial; Fratello reports the sapphire is 0.5 mm thick. The open construction puts the movement’s visible components at the center of the design.
SJX lists an alligator-leather strap with a folding clasp, while Fratello describes a green alligator strap. The coverage does not establish a replacement-strap specification or compatibility standard. SJX lists the watch as not water resistant; that is the outlet’s reported listing, not an independently confirmed official water-resistance rating.

No public price is established in the reviewed 2025 reporting: SJX lists the price as “on request,” and Fratello says it remains secret. SJX also reported boutique availability, but that report does not establish present inventory, allocation, or whether a sale has occurred. As a unique piece, it should not be assumed to be broadly available through ordinary retail channels.
