Monochrome Watches listed it at CHF 1,100,000 in a price update dated 23 June 2025; that is the latest dated price available here, not a live 2026 quote. Historical preorder information does not confirm that the watch can still be ordered.
What makes the Deep Space Resonance different?
The Resonance develops Halter’s 2013 Deep Space Tourbillon. It retains the earlier watch’s three-axis tourbillon concept and adds a pair of balance wheels designed to synchronize acoustically. The twin balances are the defining distinction: this is not simply the earlier multi-axis tourbillon with a new name.
Halter’s official prototype document says the wrist-worn prototype was built in 2020 to check that acoustic synchronization worked while worn. The watch’s open, architectural construction puts the mechanism on display, with hand-finished components. Halter described the labor involved in an interview: “For instance, for the Deep Space Tourbillon Resonance, the 42 steel bridges of the tourbillon cages have all be entirely crafted here.” In context, “here” refers to his workshop. Read the interview with Vianney Halter. Halter’s official prototype document and Europa Star’s prototype overview provide further context.
Published specifications
The figures below are the specifications published in Monochrome Watches’ review, rather than results of independent testing. The review notes that the power reserve may evolve.

| Specification | Published detail |
|---|---|
| Case | 46 mm titanium; 20 mm overall height |
| Overall dimensions | 50 × 52 × 20 mm including lugs and crystal |
| Crystal | Domed sapphire, 10 mm high and 40.6 mm in diameter |
| Water resistance | 30 m |
| Movement | In-house, hand-wound; 21,600 vibrations per hour; stated 65-hour power reserve |
| Regulating system | Twin-resonance balance wheels and triple-axis tourbillon |
| Tourbillon rotations | First axis: 60 seconds; second axis: six minutes; third axis: 30 minutes |
| Display | Hours, quarters and minutes |
| Strap and buckle | Leather strap with titanium folding buckle |
The 46 mm case measurement understates the watch’s visual and physical scale. The listed total dimensions include the lugs and tall domed crystal, bringing the overall footprint to 50 × 52 mm and height to 20 mm. Those proportions matter when considering how the watch may sit on the wrist.
The display also reflects a change from the prototype’s Vernier-inspired layout to the reported production-version indications. The available specifications identify hours, quarters and minutes, but do not provide further detail on how those indications are read.

How it compares with the original Deep Space Tourbillon
The two watches share the central three-axis tourbillon idea, but their reported timing and reserve figures are not interchangeable. In an interview about the original Deep Space Tourbillon, Halter described a 40-second rotation for its central cage, a six-minute rotation for its transverse structure and a 30-minute turn for its cradle. He also described that earlier watch as hand-wound, with two barrels and an approximately 55-hour power reserve. These are details of the original, not the Resonance. | Feature | Deep Space Resonance | Original Deep Space Tourbillon |
|---|---|---|
| Regulating concept | Twin acoustically synchronized balance wheels with a triple-axis tourbillon | Three-axis central tourbillon; no twin-balance resonance system is described in the cited interview |
| First-axis period | 60 seconds, according to Monochrome’s published specifications | 40 seconds for the central cage, as Halter described in the interview |
| Other axis periods | Six minutes and 30 minutes | Six minutes for the transverse structure and 30 minutes for the cradle, as Halter described |
| Power reserve | 65 hours stated in Monochrome’s review; the review says this may evolve | Approximately 55 hours, as Halter described |
| Case and display comparison | 46 mm titanium case; production-version display reported as hours, quarters and minutes | Comparable case dimensions and display details are not stated in the cited interview |
The shared six- and 30-minute periods can make the systems sound more alike than they are. The added synchronized balances and the Resonance’s reported 60-second first-axis period distinguish its mechanism from the original’s 40-second central cage.

Who is it for?
The Deep Space Resonance is best understood as an independent watchmaking showcase: its appeal rests on the unusual combination of acoustic balance-wheel synchronization and a highly visible, multi-axis tourbillon, as well as its elaborate construction. Its published case dimensions and six-figure Swiss-franc price make it a specialized proposition rather than a conventional daily-wear choice. Halter told Monochrome that his workshop produced “about ten watches per year”; this is an approximate statement about his general production context, not an audited current output or a production figure specific to the Resonance.
