The Vogard Business Officer is a discontinued mechanical world-time watch built around a city-marked bezel: set a destination to 12 o’clock and the watch displays that location’s time, with a second hour hand showing whether it is day or night there. Vogard says Timezoner production and sales ended on 31 December 2014. Its 2026 brand-return notice does not establish that the Business Officer is back in production or that service and parts are currently available.
How the Business Officer’s time-zone system works
The Business Officer uses a bezel marked with 24 major cities to select a destination. Vogard describes the bezel as a way to guide the wearer between time zones; the user manual explains the key rule: “The watch always indicates the time of the destination set at 12 o’clock.” The hour and minute hands show that destination’s local time, while a second hour hand distinguishes AM from PM. Vogard’s Business Officer page lists multiple references, including BU2310 and BBU2311, so details should not be assumed to apply identically to every version.
Daylight-saving time and date setting
The manual directs the wearer to turn the bezel to the relevant destination’s marked DST position when daylight-saving time applies. It also says date adjustment can only move forward. These are instructions from Vogard’s manual, not observations about every version’s performance under all conditions. A historical review of the Bluecity LP 2610/B reported that its date sat deep and did not jump when changing time zones, a drawback specific to that reviewed variant.

The Bluecity review also listed the date behavior during a time-zone change as a drawback. That observation should not be generalized to other references. Neither historical price indicates what a watch should cost today.

What the reviews suggest about wearing it
The bezel-and-city approach makes the selected destination visible at a glance, while the second hour hand addresses the practical ambiguity of a remote time reading: whether it is morning or evening there. The bezel requires the wearer to choose a city and align it at 12 o’clock rather than relying on a separately adjusted GMT hand. The manual’s DST positions offer a way to account for seasonal clock changes, but users still need to select the appropriate marked position for the destination.
When evaluating a specific example, check the exact reference and condition, the bezel and hands’ operation, date behavior, case dimensions and water-resistance rating for that variant, and any documentation of servicing. Historical published specifications cannot establish the present condition or performance of an individual used watch.

Is the Vogard Business Officer still made or supported?
Vogard’s 2014 statement on the sale of its Timezoner intellectual property says the company sold the patent and related IP and would cease manufacturing and selling Timezoner watches as of 31 December 2014. It also said it would continue after-sales service for watches already sold and supply spare parts. That was the company’s stated plan at the time; it does not verify present-day service capacity or parts availability.
Vogard’s current home page announces a brand return in 2026. That notice alone does not confirm renewed Business Officer production, current stock, or current support for older Timezoner watches. No current price, production volume, accuracy result, or service-performance statistic is established by the cited sources.

What to check before buying a pre-owned example
- Identify the reference. Match the watch, paperwork, and seller description; BU2310, BBU2311, and Bluecity LP 2610/B should not be treated as interchangeable specifications.
- Confirm the functions in person. Check that the city bezel turns and aligns as intended, and that the destination-time and day/night indications behave correctly.
- Ask for service details. Vogard’s historical support commitment is not proof of current parts or service access. Request records and confirm with a qualified watchmaker whether the specific watch can be maintained.
- Treat old prices as context only. The €6,800 and €7,500 figures are historical reports for different versions, not current market prices.
